ThreeBeesI am a mother of 3, working my butt off for a major corporation who overcharges their customers and under pays their workers. I feel guilty every time I take someone's money. The company I work for offers health insurance that for me and my children would cost half of my monthly pay ($600). When my car broke down in early 2011 I couldn't get a loan from any bank because I don't make enough money - even with $6000 in CASH in my pocket I couldn't buy a brand new car. We struggle some months just to pay medical bills and electricity AND buy food. We are fortunate to be able to afford internet (which I am using to go to school full time) and a cell phone (which we need for calling my out-of-state family and 911 should an emergency arise). I have almost no money saved for when I retired, I will probably never realize the dream of owning a home, and I will be fortunate if my children can afford college.
