This protest is what happens when people stop caring about what is really important in life. This is what happens when people start comparing themselves to others. Life is short. For some of you, I think it is time to reevaluate what you put your energy into.
The movement itself is based in a negative thought process. That being said, you will never succeed or get what you want by blaming others. Just know that. I know many of you do deep down, but have chosen to ignore that nagging feeling in your stomach. Listen to your soul. Stop ignoring it. You know you don't feel quite right about participating in this. What you are doing is wrong and unproductive. You cannot change the World. You can only change your world. Start taking responsibility for yourself. That is all you can do. Stop worrying about what others are doing.

Justice is really important in life brother.
We do worry about the actions of others--- when those actions are crimes committed against everyone (including us).
There are things worth being angry over.
We are not defeatists---we aren't going to give up---and we ARE changing the world right now.
You should take on responsibility with us. Lets not be silent when these criminals who control our country murder, conquer and enslave the world in our name. Rise up and do something. Don't just bow your head and accept it.
I would love to see the Occupy Movement demand a change to the banking law that requires a default for anyone wanting their debt restructured.
If this one law were changed, it would instantly empower tens of millions of americans with debt.
Let me guess, cut taxes, government programs and spending. We've been doing that for thirty years, are we better off? Not everyone can go out a start a business, even people that do menial jobs deserve a fair shake.

I usually just lurk and read and skip the h8. This one got me laughing. Rex you're next bud. Life is cushy for you right now but soon the temps are going to rise and you too will be wondering what is truly important in life and you will find that it isn't the same as it was the day before. You sure do assume a lot by a screen name. I don't need to argue that heavily. Most commenting know I am right on this one.

Are you really okay with a system that allows the ultra rich to buy and sell elected officials? A system where money buys influence and voters are an afterthought?

I am not sure what you are asking? A protest is not a system.
OWS is more than a protest, it is an attempt by anarchist to spread direct democracy through the nation. Direct democracy is a tool of anarchy. It is a system. Do you believe the anarchic direct democracy proposed by OWS will be better than the system of representatives we currently have in place?
Are you really ok with how you have conducted your life? Co-dependence is a nasty creature.

What you people don't realize is that everything that is happening in the World is a result of our 24/7 media. With the emergence of the Internet, people have proven they cannot handle too much information at one time.
Stop being controlled by the media. Step back. Re evaluate what really matters to you. Your health. Your family, your friends and your life. We take none of this stuff with us. Don't waste your time here.
I agree and disagree. Taking responsibility is taking matters into your hands. That is the definition of OWS. Blaming others is what is necessary when they perpetrate crimes against the people. They need to be brought to justice. Not rich people, just criminals. We have to worry about what others are doing. They got us here. Unemployed and broke.
