the above is a disturbing video, but this is exactly what the world is up against. You speak what is on your mind, and if it challenges the legitimacy of the ruler in power, you will get physically beaten, with a good probability of being tortured and/or killed. In this particular video, I wonder, why do the security forces go out and beat the protesters? Psychologically, what's going through their heads as they beat the protesters? Do they get some kind of rush out of it? Is there some kind of high they get in these gang beatings? Why on earth do they physically hurt the protesters? Is it a stepping stone up the career ladder in the military with a possible shot at being the new dictator? The police seem almost giddy in the way they wave their sticks and attack the protesters. Just sick.

There is only one place for these security forces acting like gangs beating protesters and those who order them to attack the protesters. In jail serving long term prison sentences.

A statement from Memphis authorities reaffirming their policies relating to their citizens' right to lawfully protest, could help prevent another abuse of power. Quotes below are from the epilogue of the book "Protectors of Privilege: Red Squads and Police Repression in Urban America" by Frank Donner (a civil liberties lawyer)

"...Mayor Wyeth Chandler ordered the police to burn all the files of the Domestic Intelligence Unit (DIU, as the local red squad was called) and to abolish the unit altogether."........"In compliance with the mayor's order, 180 boxes of files were reportedly destroyed on September 10, 1976, at the very time the ACLU was in court to obtain a restraining order to preserve the files..."..............."embarrassing documents were unearthed in the basement of a building formerly used by the red squad that had escaped the mayor's destruction order..."...........(result:) "...a restrictive settlement decree used as a model in other litigation and legislative efforts." I do believe that this is a step for their career ladder. Unless citizens oust the police chiefs who reward mindless force, brutality and violation of Constitutional rights this is what will only continue to escalate. Most American seem to prefer shopping and entertainment to protecting their rights and Constitutional Freedoms. This is why we now have the Patriot Act, Homeland security web that employs 2 million people and is militarizing our Police. The fundamentals for a totalitarian "elected" police state are in place.
