You can tell Monopoly is an old game because there's a luxury tax and rich people can go to jail.
Today--- only the poor pay taxes and go to jail.
How true is that, it's makes it even more worthwhile playing knowing that there is still a little part of the world when things seem fair and you don't have to have a mortgage five times your salary in order to buy a house and a third-world country's debt for a deposit :)

I wonder how modern Monopoly would play out...
There used to be a luxury tax, but then people started paying cash and avoided the tax. it was then repealed. it wasn't about rich people as you seem to think it is, it was about catagories of goods.
