I was at a general assembly that was occupying the space that a black homeless man had been occupying for years. They were spending hours debating how to form committees on how they are going to survive camping out, then most of them went home. The homeless man actually had some good advice: the hand signals we were using to vote yes meant something about pimps and hoes in neighboring oakland.
