They do and they soon learn that we also derive strength from their stupidity as well as each other. At that point, they realize they have wasted their time and not ours. In here, we know where the truth comes down. Being active and getting in the game is what it's all about. I never stop fighting for what is right for our country as long as alive. We all have a purpose for being on this planet. We need to get something done that moves the human race forward a step or two. ANd, if we're lucky, we can still save our planet from being devoured.

So is it your contention that it is President Obama who is mandating and supporting these, to my knowledge, undocumented crimes against humanity, or are you referring to the atrocities committed by the Bush Administration, The REPUBLICAN administration, the same republicans presently in control of a great portion of the United States, who wish to return the nation to the same failed and criminal policies of the Bush years. If that is your contention, that President Obama is doing these things, then you need tp check yourself into a mental hospital. Bush's crew does need to be charged with and found guilty of their war crimes against humanity and the Geneva Convention. Who knows, maybe someday a bounty hunter will extrodite them to a country where justice can be served. President Obama knew he would never be able to accomplish it here because the repubs never would have allowed it, and the ensuing civil war it would have caused would have only weakened our nation worse than it already was with the criminal abuses of the financial system causing our near depression level economic crisis. There is an old saying... "Fight only those fights that you have a 'reasonable' expectation of winning." President Obama knew where his priorities were. As I say, none of these things would have been done under Republicon rule, which caused most of the problems in the first place. 30+ years of Con corruption and entrenchment will take more than one term and one man to fix. This is a start. Continued progress will take public vigilance.

In a rare interview, ex-chief of Mossad Meir Dagan speaks out against a preemptive strike against Iranian nuclear facilities anytime soon. He says the Iranian regime is rational in its own way. (CBS News) Meir Dagan has been described as "hard-charging" and "stops at nothing." For more than eight years, Dagan made full use of those qualities as chief of Mossad, Israel's intelligence agency, where he focused on keeping Iran from developing a nuclear weapon. When that job ended, Dagan did something unheard of for an ex-Mossad chief: he spoke out publicly, voicing opposition to Israel launching preemptive airstrikes against Iran's nuclear facilities anytime soon. Dagan believes the Iranian regime is a rational one and even its president, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad - who has called for Israel to be annihilated - acts in a somewhat rational way when it comes to Iran's nuclear ambitions. When reviewing history from the beginning of the cold war to the present and listening to some of these freemarketeers rationalize their atrocities, I believe that the American love affair with capitalism is pretty close to a religious fervent, or a holy crusade. Read what Poindexter is quoted as saying when he was kicked out of the Reagan administration. His ability to justify his transgressions shows that he was a freemarket acolyte. He was one of many freemarket fundamentalists that wont look at any other ideas, believing an unregulated free market is as holy as heaven its self.

So I don't believe I am stupid for the choice of words I used. look at the rational behind the domino theory, and tell me there was not an iota of hypocrisy behind the idea that it was righteous to use guns and bombs to stop a nation from becoming communistic on their own accord. After France left Vietnam, the people chose to go in the opposite direction than what America preferred. Instead of being rational about it, we dreamed up the domino theory to justify our actions. If capitalism is so superior, then why is it always exported with the barrel of a gun? should not its superiority win the hearts and minds of the world by its own fruits? Un like Rand who believed in total free markets, I believe there are some services that need to be socialized. But i'm not fervent in my belief to say that capitalism does not have its positives too. The problem i have with a few having the most money it seems to come down to jealousy. If they stole the money or cheated others then yes the money is not theirs. But there are many that got rich because of hard work and inspiration, or they smart and setup something that others wanted and got rich that way. Just who do we think we are to say you are rich so give up most of you money to the Government. You may call it practical but I call it stealing. In no way do I think the tax system is fair. To be truly fair all would pay taxes and all would paid the same rate. Not the tiered rate with deductions it is now. What is the difference if a worker pays a union to get ahead and a corporation that pays a lobbying group to do the exact same thing? Where as workers pay unions to get better wages, Conservatives pay ALEC. There is no difference unless you are talking to a hypocritical Conservative.

I'll give you your point that it is both parties bankrupting America, but they are both just playing the game laid out in front of them, the game that only OWS wants to end, and you want to see stay the same. If you see what the moderate pro OWS want, you'll see it is money out of politics, which should help all tax payers and other Americans. As to the way you describe the right to work state, you make it sound so altruistic and kosher, which again is wrong. You like to frame things as if the good ol' Conservative party comes in to the rescue.

Going back to your workers dilemma, if that part time employee could not afford to work in a unionized shop, then that employee should have went somewhere else to work. Ain't it funny how Conservatives drop this line on the workers all the time, but when the line no longer helps to make your argument you gravitate to its opposite like a bug to a zapper. Where is you total lack of compassion you show for the worker's blight? Oh, the poor worker had to pay union dues, but who cares about the poor worker who can't make ends meat.

Indiana Company Rejects Gov. Mitch Daniels’ Claim That It Added Jobs Due To ‘Right-To-Work’ Law

Indiana Republicans ignored protests from labor groups and even National Football League players this winter and became the 23rd state to adopt a so-called “right-to-work” law. Despite having no evidence that the anti-union legislation would create jobs, Republicans claimed it would, and Gov. Mitch Daniels (R) signed it into law.

Less than two months after he signed the bill, Daniels is already touting its success. Daniels claims more than 30 companies have asked about moving to Indiana, but so far he’s only named one, MBC Group, that added Indiana jobs. Unfortunately for Daniels, it seems he jumped the gun:

The Indiana Economic Development Corporation issued a statement in which company president Eric Holloway said expanding its Brookville, Ind., site was a “no-brainer” because of right-to-work and other factors.

Holloway says he did not notice the reference to right to work when he approved the statement and says the law had no effect on his decision to expand.

Indiana, of course, has tried “right-to-work” once before, passing a similar law in 1957. The law was so unpopular that voters demolished Republicans at the polls in 1958, and Democrats repealed it in 1965.

The law is again unpopular — 71 percent supported an effort to put it up to a referendum vote on the November ballot — likely because studies are again showing that it is bad for workers and won’t actually help Indiana create jobs.

Oh, and then he signed the "It's OK to Shoot Your Cop Law."

Back in the early nineties. you could get a job at Kroger's part time and you did have the right NOT to join the UNION, but you still had to pay UNION FEE's as a part timer. THAT IS NOT FAIR. one should have the right to join a union or not, and if not then they should not be FORCE to still pay the union. You claim to be fair but all you want is controlling power. Also after a union formed a lot of the time they then force the company to never hire none-union employees. "Close shop for Unions Employees only contract" This is to protect the union monopoly.

That's right, the Affordable Care Act, while not the single-payer system that kicks Big Insurance out of the picture, still provides countless Americans who are already being helped by the law’s new benefits, protections and tax breaks.

One group of Americans who can look forward to the law being upheld is young adults and their parents. Historically, young Americans beginning their careers have struggled to afford health coverage, often putting off their dreams in order to take a job with health benefits.

To help these young people, the law allows many Americans under age 26 to stay on their parents’ health plans. Today, more than 2.5 million young people have already taken advantage of this benefit, giving them and their families peace of mind.

Another group of Americans who are counting on the law are the tens of millions of people now getting preventive care at no additional cost. In the past, far too many Americans went without critical cancer screenings and vaccinations because of unaffordable co-pays and deductibles, often at great risk to their health.

Now, many recommended preventive services are free for those with Medicare and private coverage. Last year, 32.5 million people with Medicare and up to 54 million Americans with private coverage got at least one free preventive service thanks to the law, a huge step forward for America’s health.

America’s small-business owners also have a lot at stake. Before the law, they paid an average of 18 percent more than their larger competitors for health coverage, sometimes forcing them to choose between providing health benefits to the employees they had and hiring new ones.

Under the law, many small-business owners are now getting tax credits to help bring those costs down. As one Montana small-business owner recently wrote: “The tax credit cut our costs by over $2,000. For a small business struggling to keep health coverage, that makes all the difference.”

The group that may have the most to gain from the health care law is America’s seniors. In addition to providing free preventive care, the law has saved 3.6 million Medicare beneficiaries with the highest prescription drug costs an average of $600 each as part of the gradual phasing out of the so-called donut hole.

And Medicare is stronger for all seniors, thanks to the law’s new protections against health care fraud. The results speak for themselves: Since 2009, health care fraud prosecutions are up 27 percent, and recoveries are up 58 percent to more than $4 billion last year.

Even those Americans who haven’t yet noticed major changes as a result of the law have a lot at stake. That’s because one of the law’s most important improvements is one that will benefit every American family: a health insurance market that’s no longer rigged in favor of big insurance companies.

Already, the law has strengthened oversight of premium hikes and established a Patient’s Bill of Rights that bans the worst abuses of the insurance industry, like canceling someone’s coverage when they get sick just because of a paperwork error.

And even bigger improvements will come in 2014 when new marketplaces will be established in every state for people and small businesses that buy their own health insurance. Plans will no longer be allowed to turn away people with pre-existing conditions. And there will be tax credits available to working families on a sliding scale to help ensure they can afford coverage.

The result will be that, for the first time in our history, all Americans will have access to affordable health coverage, even if they lose their job, change jobs, retire early or start a business.

This is a very different picture from the one conjured up by the law’s opponents before it passed. Instead of the economy crashing, more than 3 million new private-sector jobs have been created, with the health care sector leading the way. Instead of Medicare crumbling, many seniors have actually seen their premiums drop, even as they enjoy new benefits. Instead of health care providers rebelling, we’ve seen a surge of interest in the new opportunities the law gives doctors and nurses for improving care.

It’s not surprising that the law’s opponents, having lost in Congress and watched their policy case vanish, have taken to the courts to try to undo these new benefits and protections. We saw similar challenges to laws that created Social Security and established civil rights protections. Those challenges ultimately failed, and so will this one. And that’s great news for the American people.

What makes you think the government didn't get the exact bill they wanted? They will drive private insurers out of business giving them control of healthcare without the stupid expense of what you like to call single payer.

They will have complete control of the healthcare process and they will have millions upon millions of young people paying in who normally would have waited 20 years. Obamacare is a complete win win for government, more money and control of how and when you die.

You think of government as a good thing and they think of you as a profit center. Once you pass out of the earning class you are a liability and Obamacare is structured to help you to your final reward as quickly as is seemly. Heart/lung transplants will be a thing of the past (except for the elite), new medicines won't be developed because there is no incentive to develop them.

You really think the Democrats are really trying to get single payer for you? You're insane. Look at who has the golden medical care and big retirements and guaranteed job security, unions and government employees do. Maybe you are one of those two protected classes, maybe that's why you spend so much time trying to keep the wool over the eyes of your fellow lefties but if you aren't one of those two groups you are indeed a useful idiot for the political elite.

We let him down, he thought we had his back, in 2010 when Dems didn't vote and let all those tea-bagging Cons into Gov resulting in obstruction, sabotage and the historic Tea-Party Downgrade by Standards and Poors.

He tried, really. But it was just too much. That and citizen's united and the Tea Party calling for more darned spending, and ended up causing the downgrade.

I've seen the Republican plans. Most make our debt worse, while cutting programs. And all but Paul are too eager to take away rights and go to war.
