I am a big supporter of ows and have been at many protestests and have seen the numbers grow smaller as it has gotten colder.
If I made and sold beanies that said OccupyWallStreet on them and donated all profits to a organization on the donate tab of this website would you guys buy and support them?
Hopefuly this will motivate and help combat the cold.
Note: OccupyWallStreet would be embroidered on the beanie. I have the machine to do it.
By beanie you mean like a winter hat? I would consider it. I am minimalist by nature, but a hat is functional. I would want to look at it first. You would need a prototype. Also.. honestly, part of me would not believe that the profits would go to OWS. I mean.. how can one be certain?
I would buy one, too. I'll pay enough to support a small company, but I won't pay for this to be produced offshore. I'm not rich, but I can afford a small donation, here and there. When the donation includes something that publicly expresses my choice, you've got a good hook.
I applaud the idea of donating all profits to the cause, but the person(s) doing this shouldn't operate at a loss. We're not against making money, just the misuse of it. I mean, if you made $200K making beanies, would you "influence" a local representative to lower the beanie tax?
