Holding out your arms and wiggling your fingers as a means of expression is stupid because it looks silly, childish, and unnatural. People will not take the movement seriously as long as this remains. Even Jon Stewart on the Daily Show can barely hide his disgust for it when he mocks it.
I agree thumbs up thumbs down is much more respectable
