We should be in Washington, DC. Occupying Pennsylvania AVE. But we have Ignored the policy's makers, we have not cut off the head of the snake! We are ignoring that the Bartender liquored up the alcoholic!

We should be over at the Federal Reserve! Wall Street should be the smallest piece of our pie of attack! The Government has the power, and has influence to dull out to Wall Street/K Street.

This is the Fundamental problem with OWS. No Goals, No Objectives or Demands, and in the wrong place! That's why since September, we have accomplished what? NOTHING. Occupying Space in the world is meaningless. Where were the demands? The changes we want? Where are the bills to send to congress to be passed?

Ohhhhhhhhhhh, The Demands were, FREE EDUCATION, BAN PRIVATE INSURANCE, FORGIVE ALL DEBTS. Bull Fucking Shit...

I was for It day one, but this Meam is starting to peave me off. Not to mention we discriminate against people below 18 years old...... Like they don't have any wisdom.....

Look up Wall Street Fraud. There is a huge reason to be on Wall Street. And there is already Occupy DC.

Also a lot of Wall Street Fraud has to do with the Federal Reserve. I would agree that "End the Fed" should be synonymous with OWS.

Banks got bailed out we got sold out... and then the Federal Reserve created trillions of dollars out of nothing and used it for their private interest.

I don't understand why people think restoring constitutional authority over the monetary system is bad. The Federal Reserve Created 7.7 trillion dollars out of nothing a few years ago. If we had that power we wouldn't have a debt, we'd have free healthcare for all, and actual job creation through appropriate spending and strengthening of our infrastructure. It's called the NEED act, HR 2990

[-] 2 points by iRevolution (54) from Fayetteville, NC 12 years ago

Wow, that need act is Great.

That bill is exactly why Dennis Kucnich should have been president in 2008 instead of Obama. The media and money have too much play in the election process. That is the only reason why Obama won over Dennis Kucinich.

In Obama's state of the union he calls on congress to "Draft that bill" in regards to beneficial legislation that solves problems in the USA.

Well there it is Obama. Obama is all talk. If he meant what he said he would have went around touting HR 2990 instead of his lobbyist approved Jobs Bill.

2012 is going to be the worst election of all time. I don't want Obama or any republican in the White House.

Obama loves Monsanto, War, and Wall Street Frauds. He's worked harder for them than he has for the working class in America.

HR 2990 and Dennis Kucinich would pull this country out of the ruts it's in now.

"Is this the US congress or the board of directors meeting for Goldman Sachs??" - Dennis Kucinich addressing the congress during the bailouts.

This movement was advertised largely (primarily?) by Adbusters, who have been developing culture jamming techniques for quite some time. They are either at the level of "regular" advertisers or above it. They were able to sell the idea to thousands of people across the nation that destroying what exists would automatically bring about what should be. Don't get me wrong, I was into Adbusters for a long time, but when I started to realize that all they did was preach anti, I started looking for something else. My search lead me into the realm of history, law, and philosophy. This country started out (after the revolutionary war) as a republic, in which those elected to government derived their just powers from the sovereigns of this nation. It was only because the people of this nation possessed rights that the government of the Republic of the States United could exercise its powers--and those powers were limited to privileges granted to them by those who held the rights to those privileges. Government agents acted only as the executors of the legitimate powers of the people of this nation.

Now we see "government" drastically overstepping its bounds, violating individual rights all over the place, and we do nothing about it. Why? Because most of us know nothing about history or the law. Why? Because we were never taught either of those things in (state run) school. Why? Because if nobody knows the law, nobody can stop the criminals of the United States from breaking it.

Is the goal of OWS to teach people the history of this nation and the law? NO. The goal of OWS is to get people to destroy. Destruction of evil, with no plan for what to erect in its place, is an invitation for that evil to rebuild. There are some who claim to have an idea of what to rebuild. Look at what they say. Is what they say different, in principle, from what exists now? Is it a different system or simply a change in who holds the reins?

Wow. Couldn't have said it better myself.

[-] -3 points by owsleader2038 (-10) 12 years ago

Excellent. Trouble is teaching 'history' in this forum will get you 'shadow-banned' and quick.

The OWS is very strict about their own party-line consensus. Essentially which is 99% re-elect Obama 2012. Funny how a 501-c3 can be so political?

We have met our enemy and he can be found in the mirror. What came first the lazy couch potatoe or the TV? Can you really blame the couch or TV? Wasn't it really everyone's dream from day-one to have a life of leisure?

Learning law, and history is hard-work, something that the average human all over the world tends to hide from. Very few people in any culture rise above, the common un-educated and ignorant man.

The author having read must know that Jefferson and Hamilton clearly understood that America was to be 'controlled' by the rich-white-men....

The 1700's Revolution involved less than 5% of the populace as most were to busy working to feed the family, then as now, less than 5% will be part of the revolution. Thus all this rhetoric of 99% is of the utmost insincere bullshit.

The essence of government is ... Beating, Killing, and Imprisoning. If your solution to the 'problem' involves 'goverment' then your just another totalitarian.

You're a liar. If Obama hadn't been a complete fraud and a Trojan Horse con man, OWS would never have existed.

OWS is a reaction to Obama's betrayal, his outing as a neo-con, and the realization that there is no political party in this country that represents the 99%

So why don't you pour yourself a nice steaming cup of STFU.

[-] 1 points by shield (222) 12 years ago

Why is it that you only want to erect a system of government which supports a portion of the populace? Why not a system which protects the rights of 100%?

[-] -1 points by owsleader2038 (-10) 12 years ago

The OWS only has ONE PURPOSE to re-elect OBAMA, its fine for you to suggest that OWS is hostile to OBAMA, but if you know about this forum then you would know to be anti obama will get you banned.

But to be anti republican will keep you around ,...

The OWS is a bad joke, but its purpose is to re-elect Obama, and its financed by the public employee prison unions.

I absolutely agree that protests in DC would be the better venue. Wall Street was a good place to start to grab initial public attention. But for the long-term, DC is "where it's at", to coin an old 60s phrase.

Goals, demands, on-line petitions with millions of signatures to send to Congress/President, etc. are also needed if the movement has any chance of success. Otherwise, it is just a bunch of people standing around (or typing around) venting. Once all of that anger has dissipated (because that level of emotion can't be maintained forever), OWS will die a quiet death (which is what politicians and corporations are counting on), UNLESS people adopt a different approach grounded in a calm, rational, well-planned and executed approach to making the changes needed.

And they need to realize that they HAVE to be in it for the long haul. They need to be prepared to occupy DC, not just for weeks or months, but YEARS if necessary, and to ABSOLUTELY REFUSE to ever go away until the demands are met. Once politicians see THAT level of determination, they'll know that the "jig is up" and that they can't continue to get away with business as usual.

That is the way to approach this effort.

[-] 1 points by iRevolution (54) from Fayetteville, NC 12 years ago

100% Right. But OWS has done none of these things...

Well, when they grow up and stop whinning...perhaps they can understand better! Live through the reasons and acts of others that have created this movement and you will understand better also!

[-] 0 points by iRevolution (54) from Fayetteville, NC 12 years ago

Lol, when they grow up, Bull... No different than the society, "Kids don't know anything till there 18" bullshit.

[-] 0 points by Neuwurldodr (744) 12 years ago

Honey, some kids are in their 50's and still don't know a damn thing! Like I said, children whine, adults make moves and get things done!!

[-] 1 points by iRevolution (54) from Fayetteville, NC 12 years ago

Lol...? What the hell makes you so all of that? I'm just pointing out the obvious failures in a movement I love. So sorry you dont want to be honest with yourself.

[-] 1 points by EndGluttony (507) 12 years ago

I was replying to Neuwurldodr.

Saw a 15 year old kid on the chat forums the other day, he was speaking crazy wisdom, talking economics & saying things I didn't even know, but when he said how old he was, everyone told him to get out 7 they kicked him out. Ohhhh, but before that, they were all talking with him like he was a grown man & were agreeing with him......

Adults are corrupt& foolish, children are pure & just need guidance to help them navigate past the foolishness of the world.

[-] 0 points by Neuwurldodr (744) 12 years ago

Purity and guidance are in the eye of the beholder.

Not all adults are corrupt and foolish, otherwise, I wouldn't be able to go shopping or walk down my streets in peace. Take another stance, this is about the just and the unjust, not men, women and children because even the most virtuous of individuals could be older than dirt and the most horrifying just a child!

[-] 0 points by iRevolution (54) from Fayetteville, NC 12 years ago

The point still remains. Not all adults our foolish & corrupt yes, but, people like yourself undermine future generations & frankly you don't give a dam about um. And society programs them into this "Age 18 is king" thing. My point was we discriminate against young people... its that simple...

[-] 0 points by Neuwurldodr (744) 12 years ago

Why are you all so hostile with truth? You don't know me..you are taking out your frustration on the wrong individual. I am over the age of 18, a free citizen with clearness of thought.
Emotional immaturity will do a person in quicker than any intellectual ideology they might believe they can argue for or against. This movement does not have room for unbridled emotions, it will just get you hurt or even killed.

[-] 1 points by iRevolution (54) from Fayetteville, NC 12 years ago

A movement that does not accomplish anything, isn't a movement at all, and this movement isn't going to & has not changed anything. For fundamental reasons. Go to Washington & Protest maybe? And this movement is all about emotions, anger over policy, frustration with debt & wars, ect, ect... If you think emotions does not move people your not looking at things very clearly. Emotions are not the proble, if anything emotion & passion is great, it's the lack of "Motion".

[-] -1 points by Neuwurldodr (744) 12 years ago

Oh for goodness sake....create your own movement then, no one is stopping you!!

[-] 1 points by iRevolution (54) from Fayetteville, NC 12 years ago

Your a sheep. Good day to you.

[-] 2 points by Neuwurldodr (744) 12 years ago

No, I am Ram....I guide sheep...so listen up. This is some serious s--- you all are dealing with. Don't treat it too lightly because Corporate America is not! Leave your fun and games at home...and realize that this movement is not for the light hearted or the faint. Survival of the fittest became the law a long, long time ago and Corporate America is not going down without a fight.

I do believe my point regarding adults non maturity has been established here..

[-] 1 points by iRevolution (54) from Fayetteville, NC 12 years ago

But i believe you still undermine our young people.
