Why isn't anyone taking my tactics seriously? I am one of the few with tactics to give and most of you ignore it. I try to contribute to this movement with my ideas. If there is anything you don't understand I would clarify. I am on your side!

You focus on the ends while I focus on the means.

Wait so what is your tactics? Flash protesting in crowds: sure try it why not it is very hard for the police to be prepared for a flash protest if they have no warning. Although you might get into a fight with the people next to you when the police is trying to jump them to get to you. We can try it. What is this split the police into two fractions involve? You did not elaborate on this tactic.

How about some sort of information that could cause a temporary destabilization like a very bitter truth.

I think flash protesting is being done and it is a good option for harsher climates. However, I do have reservations about protests on private property. If a bunch of protestors invaded my home I wouldnt be too happy with them. The people in the videos of the groups who show up at functions do not seem to have a positive impact on the non protestors. They are likely not people who would ever have any sympathy with occupy, but it could sway people who are on the fence...

People aren't ignoring it, your other threads have been filled with rejection of this idea for many good reasons. Perhaps a more important question is why to you continue to be convinced this is a good idea after having read through all the critiques?

Okay I will take you seriously. I think we can split the police by educating them that they are in fear of having even more layoffs if we keep going the way of deregulation. There have been thousands of layoffs on the police force, but not in the top ranks. We can get the bottom ranks to fear getting laid off, which is a very real situation they can find themselves in. I don't think using any kind of sneaky dishonest tactic goes to serve us well but showing that we are fighting for their jobs and their pensions might separate them from the top brass and start a bit of internal debate. But chances are they all stick together there is a real strong code in the police force of having each others back. I think the only thing that will break that code is the threat of losing their job.

In fact I prefer to use very painful truth rather than lies.

Some of the police have children and even grand children. They are endangering their future by protecting and fighting for the destroyers.

Sure we are all in agreement that the police reaction is wrong, so to change why not create an unofficial OWS letter and mail it to the homes of all the police on the NYPD explaining that their funding is being cut further and further and there have already been over 1000 layoffs in the department and more are coming as budgets keep tightening. A nice letter not antagonizing them written with no animosity just letting them know that we are fighting for their jobs, we are also fighting so that their pensions are not squandered by hedge fund managers who get to play with all that money. Explain when they hurt us they are hurting themselves. So put it into action, you have come up with a concept of splitting the police force but it is only a tactic when you put it into action. letter writing is my idea for you to implement but most people don't want to take the time to draft such a letter and stuff those envelopes. perhaps an open letter to the NYPD sent out to all the media outlets though I think a letter addressed to officers would have more impact

And if possible send a volunteer to talk with a officer because a letter can be ripped up into may pieces.

This is an open forum. Not sure if they even look at it. You can try and join the NYCGA forum.

hey bigbilly.

I wouldn't take it personally. They don't seem to like my ideas all that well either.

[-] 1 points by bigbangbilly (594) 13 years ago

So what are they?

[-] 1 points by ZenDogTroll (13032) from South Burlington, VT 13 years ago

Well, lets see - I've left a detailed discussion of how to subvert the police on the op you posted, I think you responded to the comment I left so you saw that -

then there is a whole list of OPs on my profile page, just as there is yours.

Two of the OPs deal with the possible utility of twitter.

The only protesting that works is voting someone out.

Tactic #1. Wear clean underwear so when a non-99% punches your lights out you wont look bad in the ER.
