I am creating a lobbying organization to represent the interests of the majority on Capitol Hill. Although the organization was already in development before Occupy Wall Street began, I think that it can be a useful tool to help the movement find direction and commonality.
We will be polling our membership to determine where they stand on the issues. Any issue that gains 65% support or opposition nationally, we will examine every congressional and senatorial district and contact every elected leader whose constituents stand aligned with the national organization. It can help give the Occupy Wall Street movement direction and focus. For anyone interested in learning more, please visit www.lobbydemocracy.com.
