Forum Post: Why do I keep reading nonsesne about...

How no one should depend on the government for handouts and how everyone should be responsible, motivated, self starter, etc. This is such non-sense. There will always be a section of the population that requires some kind of assistance. I cannot individually help everyone that needs it. So, I pay my taxes and the government doles out my tax dollars as they see fit...this is the kind of society I want. I want my government to help those who need it. Not everyone can be a "leader" or innovator or risk taker. If everyone strives to be a leader...who will be the follower? Who will be the working drone who does all the shitty dirty work!? Your logic is not practical.
