The short answer is he is a fanatical right wing Zionist who has made billions of dollars from gambling and it seems prostitution also. He is being investigated by the authorities in China where he has the biggest casinos on earth, because they say they found 100 prostitutes working in one of them and they are investigating his ties to organized crime in China. The US Justice Department and the Securities Exchange Commision are investigating also.
Adelson is of the opinion that Obama is not sufficiently compliant with Israel's wants and needs (Adelson is an unabashed Israel firster).

I'm not sure what is more offensive about ows, the truthers or the anti-semites.
but since the truth movement is riddled with anti-semites, I suppose it hardly matters.

Sheldon Adelson could have been called up from Central Casting as the manipulative scheming billionaire Zionist or even "Jew." They could not have come up with a better straw man but there he is in all his despicable ugliness.

Maybe Sheldon Adleson studied hard for his role because it seems almost a bizarre coincidence that he is just what he is. And Romney truly is his new shabbos goy- a gentile (a Mormon trying to pass as a Christian) doing things for Adelson that Adelson could not do for himself.

Sometimes being called a bigot means one is doing something right. Everything I said about Adelson and Romney is true. I actually consider them to be the mortal enemies of the human race, and for that matter life on this planet. They are fighting like they want to win. Trevor, no. Sheldon Adelson is who and what he is and that is laid out on the No Mitt Romney blog. Sheldon Adelson is the one who says that he regrets having served in the US army, that he should have served in the Israeli Army. Sheldon Adelson's daughter served in the Israeli Army. Sheldon Adelson SAYS he wants his son born here in the US to serve in the Israeli Army. So it is Adelson who brings up the "Jewish" angle not me. Adelson sponsors free trips to Israel for American Jewish college kids to bind them emotionally to the place he says is in his heart - Israel. Adelson also publishes a right wing newspaper in Israel that is distributed at no cost. In it he spreads propaganda that in the end harms most ordinary Israelis - not only propaganda against making concessions to the Palestinians but propaganda against concessions to poor and working class Israelis, including Jews, and yes I know there are many such people simply born there and not rich and powerful, but mostly manipulated.
So, this guy Adelson whose money does stink a mile away has jumped feet first into the current presidential campaign pledging up to a hundred million dollars to Romney's campaign. He's even hinted it could go higher. He's said he will spend "whatever it takes" to defeat Obama who he sees as not hard enough against the Moslem world and too soft on America's workers and poor - this from a man who lives off gambling and prostitution.
I didn't invent Adelson. As a person of Jewish descent I especially despise him. Jewish people should know what Adelson is doing to their reputation and should repudiate him in every possible way, not defend him or try to shield him from exposure for what he is.

PS Trevor (edit) - imagine Sheldon Adelson publishing a free newspaper distributed all over the US- how further to the right it would push American politics. On any day of reckoning people would want to know what his co religionists and co ethnics did about him - did they ostracize him or defend him?
