Forum Post: Where is Barak Obama ?

Posted 12 years ago on Oct. 4, 2011, 11:30 a.m. EST by thereverendc (11)
This content is user submitted and not an official statement

Where is our fearless leader of the free world? Where is the flag bearer of "Yes We Can"? Where is he who promised "Change and Reform"? Where is his "Occupation of Wall Street"?

Where is President Barak Obama? (absent and unaccounted for)

I say to the President "Stand with the American People and support the occupation of Wall Street".

Wall Street funds his campaigns same as everyone else. He will not help you, even if deep down he wants to. (I'd like to think that's true)

[-] 1 points by sudoname (1001) from Berkeley, CA 12 years ago

I want to believe he has at least one un-corrupt bone in his body. I'd vote for him if he came out to support this.

You need to learn about Obama's real background. He is a covert CIA agent, both of his parents were CIA, and so were both of white grandparents. Obama is not on your side. Watch this video, please:

[-] 1 points by sudoname (1001) from Berkeley, CA 12 years ago

Too long; didn't watch. Corrupt or not, if he believed supporting OWS was a ticket to re-election, he'd support us.

[-] 1 points by marsdefIAnCe (365) 12 years ago

It is only twenty minutes. Why don't you go jerk off instead of spamming if you are not interesting in learning?

[-] 1 points by sudoname (1001) from Berkeley, CA 12 years ago

Do you know how many videos people post here? Why don't you summarize instead of making irrelevant attacks on me?

[-] 1 points by marsdefIAnCe (365) 12 years ago

In all fairness, I did summarize: Obama's real background.

The life history of a man in the Oval Office in twenty minutes is pretty damn compacted format if you ask me.

We cannot put our trust into a single figurehead, much less one that is so tied into our modern American government. Forget Barack, and all the other politicians with corporate backing. This is OUR fight.

[-] 1 points by JonathanKlondowski (31) from Bangor, ME 12 years ago

Obama has gotten more corporate money than ANY candidate in the past, why do you think GE has evaded taxes for the last year?

[-] 1 points by thereverendc (11) 12 years ago

Excellent point!

[-] 1 points by skizzy (445) 12 years ago

We do need Obama, congress or the senate to tell us what is wrong and how to fix it .... They work for us

[-] 1 points by skizzy (445) 12 years ago

We do not want Obama's support. Actions speak louder then words. The oligarchy will try to co opt this movement and the people. The oligarchy uses corruption, manipulation and deceit. They are trying to figure out what is happening and how to control it. "Who are the leaders ?" "What are the demands? " "they are a bunch of hippies!" .... You are waking up ... We are waking up ...

[-] 1 points by skizzy (445) 12 years ago

Forget Obama the people managers are now Irrelevant

[-] 1 points by thereverendc (11) 12 years ago

"Give Me Something to Believe in Barak!"

[-] 1 points by quietlike (194) 12 years ago

I can almost guarantee that his campaign will use this to get re-elected, unless the 99% wakes up. Dont be co-opted by dems like the tea party was by repubs...

[-] 1 points by quietlike (194) 12 years ago

sitting with the lobbyists on K street. Dont let him fool us all again. I wouldnt support him even if he did support us. We all know he's full of it. How many lies (promises) does he have to tell before we get it through our heads. Only Ron Paul warned of this financial issue, has been fighting corporatism, and has been consistently against war and the FED. I doubt 70% of us would even know about the FED or that its a private institution without Ron Paul. You dont have to like him, but give his ideas the time of day to look at, considering he has been straight up with us as far as the mess we're in.

[-] 1 points by phunkytechnition (6) 12 years ago

This is a good start, but you need to go the head your screaming at the monsters feet. wall street starts at K street .

The Communist Corporatist System is ran by the family's that have worked in the bureaus that we can't elect. these are the same family's that have worked there from the beginning and if you think that they don't have family in the DOD your wrong.

Please. Barack Obama is the status quo.

[-] 1 points by skizzy (445) 12 years ago

agreed

[-] 1 points by thereverendc (11) 12 years ago

aGREED!

[-] 1 points by kestrel (274) 12 years ago

They are standing right behind you... even though they don't seem to remember one of their own czars (van jones) these days. Don't forget that at its core, this is a Barak Obama reelection rally

[-] 1 points by quietlike (194) 12 years ago

EXACTLY on the Van Jones point

[-] 1 points by thereverendc (11) 12 years ago

Re-election rally? please explain.

[-] 1 points by kestrel (274) 12 years ago

The people behind this rally... SEIU, NEA, Tides Foundation, AdBusters, etc..... same people who worked so hard to get him elected last time and continue to fund him this time.

OccupyWallStreet is just an offshoot of Organizing for America which is just an offshoot of the Obama Reelection Campaign. Steven Learner said as much 6 months ago.

Remember that the group is supporting the Obama tax increases and jobs bill, only calling for even more.

[-] 1 points by powertothepeople (1264) 12 years ago

Where is the link to the Steve Lerner quote? Could you please share? you are only correct about AdBusters as far as I can see - AdBusters is out of Canada, not connected with SEIU.

[-] 1 points by thereverendc (11) 12 years ago

So you're saying; if the OWS turns violent and destructive it's all part of Obama's re-election campaign?

[-] 1 points by quietlike (194) 12 years ago

Its not all about Obama's reelection campaign. The roots of OWS were organic, people are upset, and although I feel many in the movement dont understand the core of the problem, they have identified wall street as the problem (but fail to see the collusion with govt). So from that organic anger, the democrats will use that energy to steer the election toward Obama.
its just like the tea party getting co opted by the repubs. All Tea wanted was Ending the Fed, and no federal income tax (consumption tax instead), they got co opted, and Ending the FED has dropped off the table, which is something EVERYONE can get behind. So Obama will tout his good teleprompter reading to say all the right rhetoric that will appease the masses until reelected, and will do the same he did in his first term, break all the promises, bail out banks in the name of "security" or "saving the economy"

[-] 1 points by kestrel (274) 12 years ago

So "organic" that it was announced to SEIU back in the spring.

[-] 1 points by quietlike (194) 12 years ago

Organic that it was presented by David DeGraw and backed by anonymous last year... Dont give SEIU credit for this

[-] 1 points by quietlike (194) 12 years ago

Thats like saying the Tea Party was started by Glenn Beck and Sarah Palin

[-] 1 points by kestrel (274) 12 years ago

okay... popularized by seiu like the tea party was popularized by Beck and Palin, that might be fair.

[-] 1 points by quietlike (194) 12 years ago

yea popularized only because they were corrupted first by the mainstream, first they are bashed, ignored, and called radicals. So like I said, occupy is being co opted by the democrats, but it wasnt created by democrats, it was taken over.

[-] 1 points by skizzy (445) 12 years ago

agreed

[-] 1 points by kestrel (274) 12 years ago

gee... I thought it was a peaceful, non-violent civil disobedience action?

[-] 1 points by thereverendc (11) 12 years ago

Are you changing your position?

[-] 1 points by kestrel (274) 12 years ago

It they do go violent, it won't end pretty.. that is for sure.... at best a reelection campaign, at worst a repeat of of china 1920's.

[-] 1 points by dantes44 (431) from Alexandria, VA 12 years ago

He has 4 fundraisers planned for today. 2 in Dallas. 2 in St. Louis.

If you think he'll take time out to stand with OWS, think again. Unless you're shelling out 35k per couple.

[-] 1 points by sudoname (1001) from Berkeley, CA 12 years ago

I'd actually vote for him if he came out to defend this. Then again, he'd probably have an "accident" if he went against the people that funded him.

[-] 1 points by skizzy (445) 12 years ago

republican and democrats work for the same 1%

[-] 1 points by marsdefIAnCe (365) 12 years ago
