Millions of Americans are unable to access preventive or maintanance dental care and are walking around with painful, rotting teeth-Millions of Americans are unable to maintain their mortgages-(a form of debt that is tax deductable)and are in forclosure or have lost their homes-Millions of Americans cannot earn enough to stay current on their student loan debt(a form of debt that is not tax deductable or dischargeable through bankruptcy)-Millions of Americans are paying out 10% or more of their monthly income in finance charges which rise continuously so they have less and less money to spend on food and gasoline-Millions of Americans are fully aware that the care and education they are providing to their children is not adequate and is becoming less and less adequate-Millions of Americans are dependant on Medicaid to pay for the costs of keeping their elderly family members in Nursing Homes and will not be able to cope if Nursing Homes put out all Medicaid-funded residents and stop accepting residents who must pay with Medicaid-I could go on,but all of these thing are true right now for millions of Americans, leaving us to wonder-WHAT WILL IT TAKE?

How comically redundant of you to answer your own question seven times.

Millions of Americans...Millions of Americans...Millions of Americans...Millions of Americans...Millions of Americans...Millions of Americans...Millions of Americans.

[-] 2 points by trashyharry (3084) from Waterville, NY 11 years ago

I am well known for my comical redundancy.Less comically redundant is the fate of...Millions of Americans who have little chance to become productive, educated citizens of a Vibrant Democracy.

[-] 1 points by FawkesNews (1290) 11 years ago

There must be a way to educate and empower the millions who have become disconnected from the process of government. Because it will take millions.

[-] 1 points by trashyharry (3084) from Waterville, NY 11 years ago

BTW-Fawkes-I am right now getting ready to Mass Produce images of YOUR Comically Redundant Smirking Face to be placed on Phone Poles and Plastered on Buildings.I will not be happy until it is Ubiquitous.

What might the caption say?

May I suggest..."I want you"

It will take the following:

Rotton Teeth - stop eating highly saturated sugar products and brush you teeth.

Mortgages - Stop buying more house then you can afford

Student Loans - work while you are going to college to "pay as you go" like millions of previous Americans did.

Finance Charges - Stop overspending and pay the credit card off at the end of the month.

Children Education - stop wanting the teachers to be the babysitter and mothers but instead have parents take on the responsibility to educate their children properly.

Medicaid - Reform Obamacare - get rid of it and the problem will go away.

There you have it -

You have proved with your own words the Psychopathy of Libertarianism.Everyone else is wrong-you are Right. The problem is never You and Your Selfishness-the problem is Always-Everybody Else. All of these problems would not exist if people were allowed to have incomes sufficient to pay what it costs to live. You are an Insufferable,Self-Righteous Bloviating Blowhard who should be out scouring the countryside for small, defenceless animals to kill and Elderly Drivers to Run Off The Road instead of BORING other people stiff on The Internets.

So tell me what's so wrong with people taking responsibility for their own actions?

Think maybe it's because a vast majority of our population aren't that bright?

When you condem what I said and give way to agree to people who don't take responsibility for their own actions you are saying that these people are incompetent.

I look at it from a different perspective - I think there are people out there who do have the capability to take care of themselves but won't.

I give them the benefit of doubt - you don''t.

[-] 2 points by trashyharry (3084) from Waterville, NY 11 years ago

People can only do what they know how to do.It's easy for TP'S to run other people down because TP's inherited at least something from their parents or belong to a generation that could still borrow ond work through college. Those days are long gone. The TP and Libertarians are Tools-but they better watch out, because the Craftsman who is using them is Wealthy and Uses His Tools until they Break-then Throws Them Away In The Garbage.

Well I disagree and here's why. I challenge you to go and ask any individual that you know who's pissed off because they don't have a job and ask them if they have a "plan" or "goal" to succede.

I guarentee you that those who feel like it's the "evil rich and wealthy people who caused their delima" won't have a plan for success.

Success doesn't come to people who just sit on their asses and whine because of what others have.

I'll give you an example - I know a woman who raised two children without a man to help out. I have known these children since they were five - a girl and boy.

Both of them are grown up and both went to college - (she is 24 and he is 26). paying their way as they went - and both are successful. They never complained that someone owed them for them to succede. There are lots of people out there of their age group who are successful - why is that?

I guess those who aren't are stupid and don't have the capability to succede - right?

So don't give me this crap that "those days are long gone when it comes to being successful.

Wealth and success doesn't happen overnight like you and a lot of the younger generation would like to believe. Success comes from improving job skills and having a goal

It's easy to blame someone else for problems that an individual has but the bottom line unless the individual decides to do something about it, it isn't going to change anytime soon. Same holds true for a drug user.

I am not young anymore.I never asked to be born.I have been disabled by illness for most of my life-and it isn't an illness I brought on myself.Nobody can really make money off of disabled workers,so we are left to our own devices.I am an artist and I work every day,but I have to be careful not to produce too much art because then there is a storage problem. There is no way to sell the art because of Nepotism and Favoritism-the art which is offered for sale to the public is of poor quality because of this.As it happens,I am very well acquainted with many of our local Well Heeled and Rich small business owners-about a dozen or so.Not a bootstrapper among them-not one.Unlike you, they are not worried about what poor people may or may not do or be-they are all Terrified of Huge Evil Corporations and Oligarchic Families because they know something you don't-Big Fish Eat Little Fish and the Well Heeled and Rich People will be the Next Meal.

get rid of Obamacare?

Do what VT is doing.

http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0912/81267.html

That'll work. Put private insurers out of business.

It's apparent that you have no goal to become wealthy do you?

[-] 0 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

I'm wealthy just fine thank you very much! But my personal situation is not relevant.

I think $999 million is plenty wealth for anyone.

[-] 1 points by Shayneh (-482) 11 years ago

If you were "financially wealthy" you wouldn't be posting what you post so don't give me that bunk.

[-] 0 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

My personal situation is NOT relevant. However, I AM wealthy just fine.

You know many wealthy people agree with the Occupy demand to raise taxes on the wealthy.

As long as there is voucher money for food, shelter and health, then the people that would normally be in the streets at this point wont be.

It will take the money totally running out for the masses to get involved. And I have a feeling when that happens, they will ramp up the divisive tactics to make the country further divided, not united.

[-] 1 points by trashyharry (3084) from Waterville, NY 11 years ago

Keep an Eye on Michigan in the Spring.

[-] 0 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

Millions in the street demanding change.

[-] 2 points by trashyharry (3084) from Waterville, NY 11 years ago

I am hoping for a managed collapse-but Planning seems to be in conflict with Our National Genius. The hope I have depends on the Solidarity of the People.

[-] 1 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

Collapse would mean many millions desperate starving & probably death.

I don't think I could support that.

[-] 1 points by trashyharry (3084) from Waterville, NY 11 years ago

The current Financial Infrastructure is held together with Ancient Rubber Bands,Stale Chewing Gum and Prayers to Satan.I think Economic Collapse is Inevitable whether anybody supports it or not. Also,Scientists are currently predicting Ecological Collapse of the Oceans and Catastrophic Change in Weather Systems which no sane person would support-however,the data being compiled is unquestionably correct. The lack of hysteria in the Scientific Community only serves to underline their honesty.Capitalism has lost forever the one essential element which is required in order for it to remain viable-Probity.

[-] 0 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

I think things are pretty bad but I am not a doomsday prepper. If what you suggest comes to pass millions will die, so I prefer to believe in the possibility of improving

[-] 1 points by trashyharry (3084) from Waterville, NY 11 years ago

American were once a Proactive group.Since the Reagan Revolution,it seems like the American People have converted to simply reacting to Disasters after they happen-with the accumulated mess of the present day as a result. We gotta wash that man out of the National Hair.

[-] 0 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

I agree we need to exorcize reaganism out of the country. (OWS is the start of that) but still I can't become a doomsday prepper.

I am an optimist at heart.

[-] 1 points by trashyharry (3084) from Waterville, NY 11 years ago

Oh,VQ-at least keep some extra food and batteries on hand-also duct tape-(hard to imagine a crisis that would not require duct tape),bottled water, spare buckets, trail mix, etc. It would be great if you had a generator,too-so your postings could continue to Provide all of us with encouragement No Matter What Should Occur.

[-] 0 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

I should have some of that since several families depend on me but I have survived so far.

I'll get around to it.

[-] 1 points by trashyharry (3084) from Waterville, NY 11 years ago

The problem with Hoards is People Find Out-so remember to keep Hoarding on The DownLow or else people will Love You For Your Hoarded Energy Bars more Than They Love You For You.That would be So Wrong.

[-] 2 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 11 years ago

On hoards and hoarding.

What happens to the Hoard in the cayman's if there was a really huge EMP.

Would something like thirty trillion in hoarded money go poof? - or is there some sort of concrete deposit? ( this 2nd thought I doubt - at least it is not likely to be in the cayman's ).

[-] 2 points by trashyharry (3084) from Waterville, NY 11 years ago

Many mysteries could be explained if we could find out exactly how The Oligarchs are securing their fortunes.By some accounts,The Oligarchs are spending vast sums buying farmland, although that plan could backfire when Climate Change starts to render formerly productive lands Barren.According to Max Keiser, mysterious activity in the Gold and Silver Markets is attributable to an Oligarchic Spree of precious metal purchases and a sustantial Rise in Physical Deliveries. So the question Then Becomes-Where is all that treasure, and did they murder the people who hid it like the Pirates of the Caribbean?

[-] 0 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

Whatever I do it is not likely it would be considered hoarding. So I think I'll be ok.

[-] 1 points by trashyharry (3084) from Waterville, NY 11 years ago

You are a little prickly,VQ,but only a Lunatic would prefer an Energy Bar to you.Post On!

[-] 0 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

Ok. No prob.
