If I were you & I didn't have clear legal advice on this one, I'd avoid getting arrested.

There's a possibilty of you being held in jail depending on your status and what you're charged with, don't take a chance.

I would expect normal judicial system, but it might affect any applications for citizenship if on a green card and applying through naturalization.

The Obama administration has made it very clear that they will not act to deport anybody, so if the person is legal on a student or work visa, or has a green card - you will go through the normal procedures of arrest and bail -- the same would hold true with anybody attending the rally and has expired documents or no documents I would imagine.
