Are there ANY politicians that's on our side?!?

I just watched "The Inside Job", and it seemed we got royally screwed by the people who claims to be on our side. Namely Obama and Clinton.

So is there any Politicians on our side? Or do we have to get rid of ALL of them?

I won't sign anything that doesn't call for an end of wars

Gov. Buddy Roemer, perhaps. Not taking any BIG money, so far. Sadly, nobody knows him either. I really don't know much about his background though. He'd have to be vetted.

awesome, thank you, I will mark Bernie Sanders as 'pretty confirmed'

  1. Bernie Sanders - pretty confirmed
  2. Elizabeth Warren
  3. Barney Frank
  4. Chris Dodd
  5. Al Franken
  6. Jesse Ventura
  7. Ron Paul - possibly
[-] 1 points by MadAsHellInTX (598) from Shepherd, TX 12 years ago

Possibly Jesse Ventura, possibly Ron Paul.

[-] 1 points by antipolitics (127) 12 years ago

Ah, Jesse Ventura, nice...

So that makes 6 so far

  1. Bernie Sanders
  2. Elizabeth Warren
  3. Barney Frank
  4. Chris Dodd
  5. Al Franken
  6. Jesse Ventura

Ron Paul? So he def. wants to separate Wall St. from Government? But doesn't he want to do all sort of other things, like de-regulate everything (aka let Corporations run amok) ?

How about Senator Olympia Snowe of Maine ? she seems to have a good head on her shoulders...

[-] 1 points by MadAsHellInTX (598) from Shepherd, TX 12 years ago

That's why I gave Paul a 'possibly', and possibly by a slim margin at that. He's running on the GOP ticket, therefore keeping company with the most vicious scum in politics. J. Ventura likes him and wants to be a runningmate, but only if Paul goes independent.

I know Eliot Spitzer is down for the cause as well.

[-] 2 points by Avoice (81) 12 years ago

Spitzer would be great if he got back into nys politics. Spitzer against corporate lawyer Cuomo would be a great matchup.

Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren, just to name a couple. Problem is that the right wing that is in power or seeking power are deep entrenched in special interest groups. Until we the people can call for an Article V constitutional convention to get the money out of politics, we will undeniably fail. We have a start here and we believe this will gather enough support to make change and get the money of the corporations out of our politics.

Be sure to fill out the form and confirm that you want to receive updates and we will invite you to our conferences to explain our ground game and get this movement moving in a concise pattern that will work within the framework of our constitution.

Thanks! That's two! Sweet, one more than I thought...

How about, Barney Frank? Chris Dodd and Al Franken ?

Barney Frank & Dodd, passed some type of mortgage reform bill? That seemed to got the Republicans mad, so maybe they are on our side...

Al Franken just came into politics and grew up a comedian, so maybe he's on our side...

Hey speaking of constitutional amendment, you seen this? http://wolf-pac.com

Come and support us. We have a conference room for assembling. Yes, Dodd, Frank and Franken are on our side as well. There are a few more and definitely.

We are organizing tangible action. We are with you and Cenk is right on the money.

[-] 1 points by antipolitics (127) 12 years ago

Awesome, we need all the support, will, firepower we can get!

[-] 1 points by larryathome (161) from Red Bank, NJ 12 years ago

We are starting a web conferencing platform that can be very useful in forcing state legislatures to request a constitutional convention through article V of the us constitution.

[-] 1 points by antipolitics (127) 12 years ago

Oh yeh? nice...

Hey when was the last time this was done? Is there not something we can try first, or is this our only/best recourse?

[-] 1 points by larryathome (161) from Red Bank, NJ 12 years ago

It is plain language in the constitution that the top does not want you to know.

[-] 1 points by antipolitics (127) 12 years ago

if OWS could get a CC and propose reform of Corporate Governance it's definitely a lofty goal to aim for. :]

[-] 1 points by antipolitics (127) 12 years ago

I see... I gotta look more into this. So general reasoning, being that it's easier to "move our state government" then to move the national one all at once?

And if we can get 30 states, we can get a constitutional convention, to vote on new Constitution laws?
