What motivates us? is it love, lust, money, power, recognition, greed? The desire to do whats right for humanity by the grace of god. The desire to form a more perfect union, as the good old boys would say. That is what I believe our motivation should be. Not money or power or whatever else is corrupting our leaders. I believe our countries fate should be controlled by its citizens. We need to take back the power. I believe that can be done by getting control of our food supply, our land and our natural resources. They have been overlooked while we have been romanced by convenience and ease. Those in power are letting our addictions fuel the machine. Oil producers and gold hoarders don't want us to stop, if we did our whole economy would come tumbling down. Oil is the blood of this country. Obesity, blame and hopelessness are the sad consequence. Our economy is hyper-inflated fueled by us, leaving us fragile. We are in a daze...pointing fingers and trying to figure out who is to blame. The threats of war, markets crashing and the loss of out lifestyles are keeping us suppressed. Our way of life needs to change. Our president has us sold on the idea of change and we all know that has to happen but who is willing to do it? A stimulus package won't...that is certain. Imagine a country that is making the most of its bountiful land, self sustaining farms where every acre is used to its fullest. Every animal and vegetable is grown naturally. It is fresh, free of poisons and is grown in harmony with the land. We should localize our food supply. Strengthen local economies, create jobs and keep those profits within our communities. Instead of us depending on political leaders to solve our problems, why don't we start by freeing ourselves from this old way of thinking, living, producing, eating...thriving.
