Hope for the best, plan for the worst. There needs to be at least one work group in every occupy that is assuming the financial system as we know it is going to crash and what the effects of that might be. Will services like electricity, gas, and water be interrupted? Will fuel become scarce? Where will all the trash go? I'm certain a plan to get from one system to another will evolve but from the time of the crash to the time a new plan starts, we all need to survive. Be prepared, think of these things now.

When the banks fail, the Dollar and the Euro will follow. This will create inflation to those who base their wealth on money instead of resources. Bear in mind that this will happen sooner or later. Irrelevant of OCWS.
Get together people you know and discuss this. Imagine it's an episode of Survivor. If you plan for the worst, you can be happy when it doesn't get that bad, and you still have a good plan to follow.

The last bad time was the great depression, you are correct. I think it will be much worse this time. We need to plan like we were on an episode of Survivor. Alliances, shelter, food, water, safety. Assume the worst and then you're happy when the worst doesn't happen.
I hope you bought silver and gold and bought or have stuff you can barter with. Also, buy as much canned goods and non-perishiable stuff you can buy to help. WE all need to plan for this. As they say Hope for the best, but prepare for the worst.

Consider that the only reason any of this is happening is because America has not had a constitutional government since before our fathers were born.
We need an article 5 convention. Demonstration at state capitols following written demand by petition to state legislators.---

I as others have had enough of the gross mismanagement of our nation, and believe that the current federal government is and has been acting unconsitutionally and that the chain of command over federal armed forces is also effected.

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF _:
WHEREAS, With each passing year, this nation becomes more deeply in debt as its expenditures exceed available revenues; and
WHEREAS, Fiscal prudence requires that certain steps be taken to control the growth of the budget and eliminate excessive deficits; and
WHEREAS, Article V of the United States Constitution requires the United States Congress to call a constitutional convention upon the application of two-thirds of the legislatures of the several states for the purpose of proposing amendments to the United States Constitution; now therefore be it
RESOLVED, That the General Assembly of the State of _, pursuant to Article V of the United States Constitution, hereby applies to the Congress to call a constitutional convention for the purpose of proposing to the states for ratification, an amendment to the United States Constitution containing the following provisions:
First, the amendment shall require the President to submit and the Congress to adopt only balanced budgets for all federal programs and agencies, except in times of war.
Third, the amendment shall require the President to submit and the Congress to adopt budgets for all federal programs and agencies on a biennial rather than annual basis; and be it further that in addition to this Balanced Budget Amendment we submit the repeal of the Sixteeth Amendment and the adoption for the Fair Tax Amendment, finally we submit a Amendment to limit the Congress of the United States to Term Limits of no more than two term.
RESOLVED, That this application constitutes a continuing application in accordance with Article V of the United States Constitution until at least two-thirds of the legislatures of the several states have made application for a constitutional convention or the Congress has proposed an amendment to the United States Constitution equivalent to the amendment proposed in this resolution; and be it further

I share your concern. We don't want to fall into anarchy. We need to accomplish this considering all aspects of the road we must travel.

Who cares if the banks fail? I've already mover most of my money to banks in Monaco. So have most of my friends. So when the economy of the U.S collapses the only people left in this place will be the 99%. While you are killing each other for 6 month old bread, I will be eating steak in the Hotel De Paris. have a great time, you will all look good scrounging in the street for food.
Well, after OWS crashes the financial system, society as we know it dissolves and the other 99% of the country gets EXTREMELY pissed off, scared, and "every man for himself/his family" becomes the norm. Since OWS caused the problem, my guess is a lot of people go OWS hunting. If you're lucky, they just kill you. If you're unlucky, they keep you locked up until all the food runs out and then they kill you and eat you.
See services like electricity and gas and water and fuel and yes, even trash pickup, depend on MONEY. And banks circulate money. You won't survive long enough to find out what "new plan" starts.
Oh, my goodness Justthefacts, aren't we all out scape-goating OWS. How silly is that, since this country has been in trouble--long before OWS was every formed.
