How did this happen? Did it even happen? If it didn't, would we know? If it did, did it even seem like it?
What would happen if we removed the politicians from our lives 100%, removed all centrally controlled media, and simply went about our lives in a positive and creative manner?

In answer to the other part of your questionable question....
People like the Kochs would run virtually everything, without reservation, and global warming would be even worse. .
People are not comfortable with the regulatory and tax environment and are being cautious with their spending. Extraneous factors do not explain the trend. We are in for more slow growth until we allow the public to thrive.
