I'm thankful for this movement, for this website and the fact that democracy still has a voice that has not been bought, and that there are people out here who despite all the pains hold a light out for freedom that they refuse to let fade.

[-] 1 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

You are spot on.! Sing it loud, & proud.

The movement is only just gearing up! We will only get bigger, more organized, more effective.

As long as we stay active, receptive to change, and attract the idealists (perhaps like yourself) who have a positive vision of future despite the negativity of our present.

Thanks for verbalizing what hope is.

Peace, & Solidarity.

I am thankful for friends, family, and country

[-] 1 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

I share that. I'm also thankful for Occupy and the beginnings of a strong growing progressive movement to fight for change that benefits the 99% including our friends, family, & country.

We dodged another RepubliCon Death Star ala Nixon, Raygun and W!!

Thank fucking Darwin!!!

[-] 1 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

LOL. Yeah still need 17 more seats in the house, and we need Filibuster reform. Hopefully the Dems will get that.

And here's to driving of the phony fiscal cliff repubs created. That is our best option to get a good deal for the people.

Damn the torpedoes, Full speed ahead.

Meanwhile RW Big Media is snuffing Prg-Talk in Democratic regions.

IT'S ON!!

[-] 1 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

Something must be done. Do you know of any plan/effort against these extremists?

I am thankful that I am still able to keep some of my earnings and not give every dime to every lowlife without a pair of shoes

[-] 1 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

greedy, selfish, "you're on your own" believin' right wing piece of shit.

[-] 2 points by highlander (-163) 11 years ago

Why the vitriol? How many beneficaries does one taxpayer cover in this day in age? How will it change in 20 years?

[-] 1 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

When you say vitriol are you refferring to the other guys use of "lowlife" to describe his fellow Americans?

Because you responded to me. I'm simply responding reasonably by criticizing that vitriolic description.

I thank God that Walmart will never be unionized, other wise it will turn into a cesspool like every other corporation, did that was unionized.

[-] 0 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

I am thankful workers all over the country have acted against the exploitive Walmart criminals. The largest work action in Walmarts history.

The only ones that "acted" are SEIU's henchman

[-] 0 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

Right wing anti worker lies!

[-] -1 points by RedDragon (-161) 11 years ago

I am thankful the Internet is a free and open source so VQ can appoint himself GOD and ban me over and over and over again.

I'm thankful for our foreign policy - I mean throw enough tax dollars at something and you can buy anything you want - even peace in the ME, right? The efficiency of our diplomacy is amazing.

[-] 0 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

Wow positive comments about the current admin. That is impressive.

And by the way I'm an atheist and have never had anyone banned let alone someone I don't even know.

Does anybody have a cross I can borrow? I want to see if he melts.

[-] -2 points by RedDragon (-161) 11 years ago

I believe in scientific equity; there is no doubt you will melt - I just want to see if you beg for your non existent God as the smoke rises to pollute my air.

Our goal is actually two fold: a, to test the veracity of the mind, and b, since most today are opting for some form of cremation - to analyze the rise in contaminants, chemical particulates, greenhouse gases, etc destined to pollute our air as rate of death exponentially increases in correlation with the rise in population.

[-] 0 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

What are you thankful for?

[-] -1 points by RedDragon (-161) 11 years ago

I'm thankful I was born in America. And I am thankful that the out-of-doors is capable of providing an escape from other people's BS; I am thankful for the evolutionary tranquility of the wilderness.

[-] 2 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

Great. I'm grateful for living in the greatest city on earth. New York Fuckin City!

[-] -1 points by RedDragon (-161) 11 years ago

Park Ave? Well that explains a lot. How'd your Hamptons estate make out in the storm?

[-] 1 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

No park ave apt, no Hamptons estate (NOT NYC!). Just a regular guy fighting for change that benefits the 99%.

[-] -1 points by RedDragon (-161) 11 years ago

A crime fighter, that's interesting...

[-] 1 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

I've stopped a few crimes in my life (I won't discuss my lawbreaking) but not professionally, and not in tights & cape either.

LOL

[-] -1 points by newShep (-179) 11 years ago

I am also thankful that the dems have not seized control of the house, which would have made our great Country in a lot sorrier shape

[-] 1 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

But your repubs lost 8 more seats. In 2 years they will probably lost the other 17 needed to take control away.. Aaaaaaah ha ha ha.

[-] 0 points by hchc (3297) from Tampa, FL 11 years ago

Doesnt matter who controls what, the nation doesnt have the capacity to self govern itself.

[-] 0 points by newShep (-179) 11 years ago

I know that and it was only intended for VQ that has a brain of a piss ant

[Deleted]

[-] 0 points by newShep (-179) 11 years ago

I am surprised you caught onto that

[-] 0 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

May as well give up and find a corner to crawl into.

You get the canned food. I'll get the ammo.

Please. It matters. Because WE the people must get in the street and force change that benefits the 99%. And we must force those pols in control to pass the laws that make that change.

So yeah it matters whether we're dealing with Alan West or Alan Grayson.

Stop lying to this forum.

shopping is over rated

[-] 1 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

I am with all that. Consumerism is a disease.

[-] 0 points by janus2 (-387) 11 years ago

no consumerism = no economy. even you can wrap your "brain" around that.

[-] 1 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

A new economic paradigm must evolve. This model is old and destructive to the planet.

I would suggest you could wrap your brain around that but I doubt it.

[-] -1 points by janus2 (-387) 11 years ago

the buying and selling of goods and services are essential for a healthy economy. " destructive to the planet"? even though you're a shill for that garbage, you really are not that dumb as to believe it.

[-] 0 points by MattLHolck (16833) from San Diego, CA 11 years ago

the numbers are one sided and many die in debt

[-] 0 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

STFU. you are a goddamn amateur. You got nothin but outlandish negative partisan lies!

You could begin to understand these profound fundamental problems.

[-] -3 points by janus2 (-387) 11 years ago

." partisan lies"? you are the partisan liar. if there is no market for goods and services there is no economy. every day in every way you get dumber and dumber.

[-] 1 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

Now you're makin things up. No market for goods & services? Who said that?

Stick to that truth.

[-] -2 points by janus2 (-387) 11 years ago

scroll up and read, YOU said " consumerism is a disease". I said, consumerism is the buying and selling of goods and services and without it there is no economy.

[-] 0 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

Yeah I know you said it moron. I did not!

LMFAO

Stick to the truth.

[-] -2 points by janus2 (-387) 11 years ago

hey , you're the moron, read your own posts. YOU said "consumerism is a desease " learn to spell it right ,....disease. consumerism is the engine that runs the economy , you twit.

[-] -1 points by janus2 (-387) 11 years ago

no consumerisn = no jobs = no ecomony

[-] 1 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

With two faces to satisfy, you should be out there buyin' lots of stuff "right" now.

So get out there already. The sales are waiting for you.

WallyWorld needs you to survive the unionization onslaught!

Well, at least you need to make up for all the stuff never buy from them.

[-] 1 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

LOL. spelling mistakes.? Issat all you got? I guess I win.

[-] -1 points by janus2 (-387) 11 years ago

YOU said "consumerism is a disease". I say no consumerism=no jobs = no economy.

[-] 1 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

Simpleton. I disagree with your simplistic equation.

[-] -2 points by janus2 (-387) 11 years ago

" not allowed to mutate"? you mean the govt control? you are one sick puppy.

[-] 1 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

Govt collusion with business! Corp 1% oligarchs control of govt has allowed consumerism to mutate into a system that disregards the worker, the environment, the culture and consider only profit for the 1% plutocrat class.

[-] -2 points by janus2 (-387) 11 years ago

YOU said " consumerism is a disease" explain why the manufacturing and the buying and selling of goods is a disease.

[-] 1 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

I see consumerism as it has mutated in America as a deadly disease. However, manufacturing, buying, selling, bartering, can be acceptable if it is not allowed to mutate.

Simple. no need to stroke. Our consumerism must be moderated. We must accept consumption as the current economic system until we finally do away with money (not in our lifetime)

[-] -1 points by newShep (-179) 11 years ago

This model is old and destructive to the planet.////////////////////////Are you referring to the current food stamp pres again??

[-] 0 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

Aaaaaaaah haha ha. Your so funny. You sayin Pres Obama is "the food stamp Pres" when all the new food stamp recipients were caused by the the Bush great recession.

Oh you are so funny.
