• That the architects of the 2008 financial and economic collapse be brought to justice • That regulations be enacted so that unchecked greed never again bring economic calamity to the United States • A tax system that fairly distributes burden according to ability to pay • Closing the loop holes that allow corporations and the wealthy to not pay their fair share • That Americans expose “tax breaks” for the greed and selfishness that they are • That Americans take civic pride and patriotism in paying their taxes • A return to an era of corporate responsibility and a repudiation of corporate greed and excess • Corporate executive compensation that reflects the proportionally greater value that leaders bring, not outsize, excessive compensation based on greed • A corporate culture that holds executives responsible for their actions • New laws that hold corporations and corporate leaders directly and criminally responsible when their actions have a broad detrimental impact, whether that be financial, economic, environmental, or social • An end to the poisonous extremism that has infected American politics, and a return to moderation and sanity • An understanding that the extremism that has gripped political debate serves the wealthiest individuals and corporations at the expense of the middle class and the poor • That Americans expose and hold accountable the media outlets, media personalities, and political leaders that espouse extremism • An end to harsh rhetoric and policies that blame and punish those who are less fortunate for their circumstances • An end to the War on Drugs and the mass incarceration of people of color that is the direct intent and result • Investment in policies that close financial, educational, and opportunity gaps in America, which will re-create the middle class, and which create viable, direct paths out of poverty • A re-commitment to government as the solution to our collective problems • A re-commitment to the belief that when Americans work together, consider the needs of their neighbors, and give from their hearts, there is nothing we cannot accomplish

There are zero intellegent details in there, which means you are leaving the details of the solution to be figured out by someone else. I have saying that hte OWS must raise its level of knowledge to those that created the problems. Otherwise you will just be out smarted.

I would suggest focusing on them one at a time. This is the hard work, the dirty in-the-trenches work. Here is what I have been working on

i was under the impression that ows is a movement for a social change in ethos, not some stupid political movement...

Social changes require people to get active. Getting the changes the social changers want is called politics. Whether they like it or not, this is a very political movement.

a social change in ethos is a change in the way people think and feel.

Right, and the way the rules are currently set up, it doenst matter what the people feel- the game is rigged.

sure it matters. it affects how they conduct themselves.

They dont give two shits about any of us. If they did, we wouldnt be in this mess. If you think they are going to become warm, caring people because of protests, you are nuts. You must attack the snake at the head.
