Pennsylvania Republicans, including Gov. Tom Corbett, insist that the new laws are necessary to prevent voter fraud. However, recent developments would seem to contradict that assertion.

In June, Republican House Leader Mike Turzai told a group of voters the real reason Republicans are so anxious to pass the voter ID law is because the statute “is gonna allow Governor Romney to win the state of Pennsylvania” because it disenfranchises two traditionally Democratic constituencies, the poor and ethnic minorities. Also, the state has admitted in court filings that it has not investigated or prosecuted a single vote fraud case.

Here's Turzai admitting it on camera - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EuOT1bRYdK8&feature=player_embedded

Is it legal to openly pass legislation to prop up a politician? Because when it's that obvious... it should be very illegal.

criminal cheaters!

The (R)epelican'ts see a 43% voter fraud problem in Philly.

http://www.rawstory.com/rs/2012/07/25/pennsylvania-voter-id-law-in-court-today/

I hope the court is honest enough to see otherwise.

If you read all of this article, you'll see two qualify, so that's 2 grand. And then you owe VQ some dough too

http://www.politifact.com/texas/statements/2012/apr/17/greg-abbott/greg-abbott-claims-50-election-fraud-convictions-2/

and the dog guy was threatened with prosecution, but don't think that happened.

[-] 2 points by VQkag2 (16478) 12 years ago

There have been fewer than 5 cases of voter fraud in PA in the last decade.

Repubs are using new voter requirements (picture id) to make dem leaning voters ineligble to vote. They are doing this 3 months before the election because they are desperate and dishonest.

They know if all voters actually voted they would lose miserably. They know they can't win honestly.

It's pathetic.

Mandatory voting for all! publicly funded campaigns, repeal the electoral college, open primaries w/ runoffs, expand the House by 1000 seats.

That'll do it.

[-] 2 points by bensdad (8977) 12 years ago

and in what city in PA did this voter fraud occur
and who was convicted of voter fraud
and what was the name of the Acorn employee w ho was convicted of voter fraud
and are you a fraud - or do you just promote them ?

[-] 1 points by freewriterguy (882) 12 years ago

i remember the acorn voter fraud made the news. They were involved with massive voter registration fraud including many names of people who were dead.

[-] 0 points by bensdad (8977) 12 years ago

I'm so glad you can remember. Do you remember the Easter bunny too?

[-] -1 points by shoozTroll (17632) 12 years ago

Or at least that's what they said on FLAKESnews.

And we all know they never lie about anything at all.

[-] 1 points by freewriterguy (882) 12 years ago

oh ya and the 50% of ron pauls votes in arizonal that mysteriously got mistakenly put towards mitt romney is another fluke huh? read my post 8 m onths ago, i predicted there would be issues of our votes in question.

[-] -1 points by shoozTroll (17632) 12 years ago

Ahhh yes, Another frustrated Mr. P supporter.

The (R)epelican'ts favorite foil.

If Mr P actually cared he would be suing, and the World would know of it.

But he's not.

It all went according to the (R)epelican't plan.

That's right! Reject all information you disagree with and call it bias!

[-] 1 points by shoozTroll (17632) 12 years ago

It's better than believing the lies that you believe.

Sticking up for FLAKESnews. What a laugh.

Well at least I know where you get your info from and it's close to the prisonplanet.com level of truth.

[-] 0 points by JusticeF0rTrayvon (-58) 12 years ago

Boy... you're really getting angry... did someone tell you santa isn't real?

[-] 1 points by shoozTroll (17632) 12 years ago

No.

I heard a rumor that you were, and that you were unaware that FLAKESnews isn't really news at all, but a (R)epelican't propaganda outlet......

Don't believe it?

Just ask Roger Ailes and that Murdock fellow..

[-] 0 points by JusticeF0rTrayvon (-58) 12 years ago

lol!

[-] 0 points by shoozTroll (17632) 12 years ago

Bwa hahahahahah.

Flakesnews fan, eh?

[-] -1 points by JusticeF0rTrayvon (-58) 12 years ago

Actually no, lol... I don't have cable, I'd rather invest the money in my business.

It's so hard being in the middle class, we have to decide between entertainment and getting ahead... sniff.

[-] 1 points by shoozTroll (17632) 12 years ago

You must have a really rough business, typing in forums all day is exhausting.

Either that, or you don't actually work that hard, which of course would mean you are highly overpaid..

[-] -1 points by JusticeF0rTrayvon (-58) 12 years ago

It's called "summer vacation", and it's quite fun here, to be honest. Did you notice how long I've been gone?

Did it ever occur to you that I may have trimmed the excesses from modern life so I wouldn't have to work as hard? Cable TV is just a drop in the bucket.

But that would be lateral thinking... you can't be expected to do any of that.

[-] 1 points by shoozTroll (17632) 12 years ago

Summer vacation is what kids call it.

Thanks for the info.

Now sit up straight, young man and pay attention

[-] -1 points by JusticeF0rTrayvon (-58) 12 years ago

Oh! The great "Shooz" is going to educate me on the ways of life! I can't wait for the first lesson!

[-] 1 points by bensdad (8977) 12 years ago

The EXACT headlie posted from faux news:
Drug money funds voter fraud in Kentucky
buying votes IS NOT voter fraud - unless you post headlies

Buying votes is as American as apple pie
davy & charlie koch have bought MILLIONS of votes and that is not voter fraud either - or is it ?

[-] 1 points by shoozTroll (17632) 12 years ago

Still haven't learned not to trust FLAKESnews?

You don't have $1000.

[-] 2 points by bensdad (8977) 12 years ago

You dont have a name for me, do you?

[-] -1 points by JusticeF0rTrayvon (-58) 12 years ago

"Partisan shill" fits you.

[-] 1 points by bensdad (8977) 12 years ago

Well done! you called me a name! How mature!
How about a name of a PA voter fraud conviction
so you can collect your $1000 and prove that PA republican leader is a liar.

[-] 0 points by JusticeF0rTrayvon (-58) 12 years ago

Oh, goodness!

I was wondering why you were asking a troll to call you a name lol, I seriously didn't realize what you were doing.

[-] -1 points by shoozTroll (17632) 12 years ago

Voter/election fraud???

Hey!!! look over there .......Obama!!!!

http://www.motherjones.com/politics/2012/07/voter-suppression-kevin-drum

It's mostly just more trumped up (R)epelican't BS.

Just remember their rallying cry!!!

"I am not a crook!"

[-] -1 points by VQkag2 (16478) 12 years ago

Another great post.

Repubs are desperate and dishonest.

The Atty Gen has stopped many of these efforts. Other progressive goups have stopped some as well. PA remains a problem but some court case is winding through now.

Do you happen to know the status of the court case?

[-] 0 points by bensdad (8977) 12 years ago

As far as I know, it just got started
I assume you read or saw mike turzai's brag

[-] 1 points by VQkag2 (16478) 12 years ago

Yeah. PA State legislator. He slipped. I guess he is a moron. I'm sure Rove & Koch heads are livid at him.

It's disgusting. And more disgusting that there isn't more outrage about his admission.

[-] 1 points by bensdad (8977) 12 years ago

at least it is getting coverage ( seen it many times on MSNBC )

[-] 2 points by VQkag2 (16478) 12 years ago

MSNBC is great. they are unashamedly liberal. Otherwise I haven't seen enough.

[-] 3 points by bensdad (8977) 12 years ago

Bad boy! Bad boy! If you call somebody "great" and "liberal" you are committing an OWS sin!

[-] 2 points by VQkag2 (16478) 12 years ago

I have sinned! I am an impure blasphemer! please do not inform the grand high inquisitor Odin, or the revered founders.

I will repent.

LOL. NOT!
