The nra is not the problem
The problem is the millions of well trained lemmings
that believe the big lies
from the nra,
from the birthers,
from the robertsons,
from the kochs,
from the bachmanns,
from the trumps,
from the creationists
There was no public outcry when an illegal drone strike in Pakistan killed dozens of civilians.
The guns are in the hands of global criminals.
The focus is upon the wrong group of individuals.
We see the NRA has been successful in it's lobbying efforts. Why hasn't anyone organized an anti-NRA lobby and use their own tactics agains them?
It would require millions of dollars
Why not work to emasculate the nra ?
eliminate their ability to buy our government

Why not do both? Occupy has wasted a year staying out of politics, trying only to raise awareness. You are not going to end anyone's ability to buy government by talking about it. Power only comes with a large enough group that votes.
It's long past time to start picking up political support and doing more then tossing out suggestions. The NRA didn't start out with millions and nothing is going to stop them tomorrow. If all we do is complain they'll be just as rich and powerful next month and next election as they are now.
I think you are right about the need to attempt political change.
NRA is a good target. The "move to amend" group is something but should just be the beginning. There are many groups that we can join with to pressure all pols.
Any ideas. I'm willing to listen.
Good luck
OMG! You want Occupy to be IN politics!
SINNER!
APOSTATE!
TRAITOR!
UNPURE!
SUBVERSIVE!

Don't let Odin hear you. He might call the inquisitor and have you purged for being an unpure subversive.
I must admit, your choice of cartoons is excellent!
How do you add pictures to a post?
The problem I see in that cartoon is "the one person" holding the gun with the logo on his shirt.
Wonder how much power he would have in creating more government gun regulations should he decides to "mass murder" people. Speaks volumes about him and the power he would have to change laws doesn't it.
The only way to be absolutely sure guns will be in the wrong hands is to put them in more hands. Who really benefits from producing (and selling) more guns, more accessories, more ammunition? Not me.
What if every gun knew it's owner? Wouldn't work for anyone else? What if every gun could be disabled remotely? What if guns would only shoot at other guns? What if they wouldn't shoot at people? What if the original gun owner was responsible for every crime committed with it?
What if ammunition had a short shelf life? What if guns had a short shelf life? What if guns were expensive? Very expensive? What if there were laser weapons that would shoot a gun possessor in the eye?
What if were harder to get a gun than to vote?
