We need a way to identify these people before they cause problems.

I think people at the protests need to be aware of this.

You can't stop them. Eventually one of them will try to incite violence. The 1% are praying for violence at this point because then they can discredit the movement to America. Don't let that happen. As soon as an agent provocateur tries to incite violence, immediately sit down and say "We are non- violent. This person is not one of us." then the story on the nightly news will be about this provocateur looking silly and movement gets even more support.
Note: It won't be police as the provocateurs. Wall Street firms have been hiring tons of private security recently. It will be private security ops. You can't stop them. No need to get suspicious of each other. That will only hurt the movement. It won't do any good. What you can do is practice sitting down immediately and saying the quote above. If it becomes automatic, you'll be less likely to get caught up in the violence.
Provocateurs will be looking to associate with strong looking males age 18 - 25. They may fake a scene where an "innocent" gets knocked by a policeman and then turn to this group of 18 - 25 year olds and say "look what they did to this person, let's get em!" They'll count on human nature and adrenaline kicking in overriding your bullshit filter and sense of non- violence. That's why you should literally be practicing this reaction I suggest above three times a day every day.
Don't forget about those hateful little twerps like O'keefe and Breitbart.
Maybe we should start publicizing and documenting this fact? Get it out there like the Canadians did.

You cannot "identify" them other than their predisposition to use violence for its own sake, for their latecomer status which they try to parlay into the most revolutionary and committed of members, and by their often shifting reasons for joining in the first place. Happened to the Black Panthers, the PR independence movement, to the AIM, SDS, and many, many others. People must READ their history in order to keep it from repeating. Get The COINTELPRO Papers for an excellent look at how the FBI infiltrated these groups.
These guys were trying to incite violence from others (provoke a reaction).
First thing they'll try to do will be to make people feel unsafe. The second thing they'll try to do will be to get "creepy" on the females in the group to see if they can provoke the men into responding. Then finally, they'll get militant.
I watched this one grab the butt of a fem of a lesbian couple walking by to try to provoke the butch into responding while he was trying to mess with us. One of the guys who's been there from the start said that some of the "crazy" homeless who were causing so many problems were provocateurs. He watched them go from "bat shit crazy" in front of the news cameras, to calmly taking on their cell phones in less than 3 minutes.
