No mention of the trillions wasted on illegal invasions of soveriegn nations in breach of international laws?

Pull your head out of your arse, and take a look around.

The amount you're discussing is miniscule.

Try a quick calculation (2.3 trillion missing US dollars aside) of the wasted effort in Iraq.

Now get your efforts focussed upon something meaningful.

Guess what Einstein! The people who make the decorations, The people who load the ship,
The people who drive the ship across the ocean, The people who unload the ship, The people who inspect the cargo, The people who load the truck, The people who drive the trucks, The people who unload the trucks, The people who stock the shelves, And The people that work at the checkout counter. ALL HAVE JOBS! We call that an economy Numb Nuts!

Now if only all of those individuals you described had a living wage - Hey?

[-] 0 points by Zophim99 (12) 11 years ago

Here’s a few you can look up the rest. They look like living wages to me. Truck Driver $55,000 Customs Agent $34,998 Cargo Ship - Captain $150,000 Seaman $50,000

Stock person? Dock Worker? Cashier? Oh and let us not forget the foreign slave labor sweatshop factory worker.

I guess they should have payed more attention in Drivers Ed.

No, they should have payed more attention to becoming successful - if you don't have a goal to become successful you won't.

Everyone thinks they should be making as much as the guy who has a college degree or a trade without putting in the time to do it.

Well, it doesn't work that way. Stock person, cashier and all those other "off the street hires" don't pay because they are "High School jobs" and are for people who are looking for a job right out of High School.

dock worker, averages $ 124,000 including benefits but not including overtime. they do not have to pay anything toward their health insurance.

Great ideal!!!! First attack Christianity and now Christmas. Let's all not buy any decorations and feed the homeless for one Month. NOT

[-] 3 points by quantumystic (1710) from Memphis, TN 11 years ago

wow how out of touch are you with the teachings of jesus.

[-] 1 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 11 years ago

Upset at attacks on shallow consumerism? That individual needs help/guidance.

[-] -1 points by newwrld (-25) 11 years ago

Maybe the Gov should feed the hungry instead of supporting wars or giving billions to other Countries. When the US needs help then where are they??? No where to be found

[-] 1 points by quantumystic (1710) from Memphis, TN 11 years ago

or billions is subsidies and tax breaks to corporations that degrade the environment, off shore jobs, and provide little societal value.

[-] -2 points by newwrld (-25) 11 years ago

Gotcha pal and disregard the billions or the trillions the Gov is wasting and could be feeding AND housing the homeless. No let's just take it from those EVIL 1%'s instead
