Democracy...When the supreme court says that ‘for purposes of the first amendment corporations are people; that writing checks from the company’s bank account is constitutionally protected free speech; when that occurs our democracy is in grave danger. Something more needs to be done; something more fundamental and indisputable. Something that cannot be turned on its head by a 5-4 Supreme Court decision.
We have got to send a constitutional amendment to the states that says simply and straightforwardly, what everyone, except five-fourths of the Supreme Court seems to understand; and that is corporations are not people. Bank of America is not person. Exxon-Mobil is not a person. Make it perfectly clear that:

  1. Corporations are not persons with constitutional rights equal to real people.
  2. Corporations are subject to regulation by the people.
  3. Corporations may not make campaign contributions or expenditures.
  4. Congress and states have the power to regulate campaign finances.

State Congressional elections and national Congressional elections are monitored by the Federal Election Commission(FEC);

http://www.fec.gov/info/forms.shtml is a good place to start...or, if your in Florida, http://www.dcosts.com/populist/how-people-get-political-power/ :)
