I hate to admit it but I was so wrong. I thought by today the rage would have been boiling over and it's not they have been successful in neutralizing the Snowden leak already. Even so called left leaning alternative media has been questioning Snoweden's motives and saying he went to far (specifically the young turks). Then I see stats suggesting that the mass majority of Americans are fine with all this. I fear some real dark days are ahead for us all.

The recent revelations about the NSA's far-reaching program of domestic surveillance have been met with an astonishing lack of outrage from the American people. A combination of "I'm not doing anything wrong, so why should I worry?" and "We've known this was going on for years" has led to a big national shrug over the matter. If the rise in local, state and federal government's willingness to act on behalf of major corporations by labeling lawful American citizens as terrorists does not shake people out of their lethargy, then we deserve everything we are certainly going to get.

Snowden added that he's become disillusioned with the public debate over his leak:

Initially I was very encouraged. Unfortunately, the mainstream media now seems far more interested in what I said when I was 17 or what my girlfriend looks like rather than, say, the largest program of suspicionless surveillance in human history.

I'm not seeing anything remotely like that. I haven't seen the Young Turks. I am not overly fond of them. I saw one article in Motherjones that had "questions" with several that didn't.

Obama's apparently putting a group together that includes libertopians.

Dark days? You bet. We'll look like Greece, Iceland or Argentina. Economically bankrupt.

Maybe mass starvation will be a good thing. Time to cleanse the gene pool. That means YOU, occupy.

cleansing the available gene pool makes zero sense from a resource perspective

Buy guns, lots of ammo and learn to live of the grid. Doom is upon us.

Sorry for the drama, couldn't help myself.
