Apparently the biggest problem facing our nation is the need to "Crack down on puppy mills"

Except the petition to legalize cannabis had triple that amount of signatures. But that was denied with the usual b.s.

Gods herb would help us

I really think it would have been wiser to wait until this administrations second term (if applicable) before bringing that one up. Also, I would have started with decriminalize before legalize. Every person should be held responsible for their crimes, but the act of possessing a substance that is not intended to harm another individual, should not be considered a criminal act. Its a stupid law, and a stupid war that should end, IMHO.

The founding fathers required us to grow. Did they know something we don't?

Yes, medicine just the way God intended, all natural with no need for distillation, or processing to be effective for a multitude of ailments. It is the enemy of corporate America and the real reason it was outlawed. In the early part of the 20th. century it was competing with Dupont, cotton, plastics, paper, etc. Everyone should read "The Emperor Has No Clothes" When all you have to do is plant some seeds on your land and let nature run it's course, how else could "the Man" combat it other than to make it illegal?

You would think that after 25% of the country has at least allowed medical usage the laws would start to ease a bit. I am currently trying to move to Colorado because I would rather live somewhere that has laws I believe in.

The alcohol and tobacco purveyors of death want to keep their addictive monopoly. Of course, they will second-guess God or whatever process created "God's Herb". Depending on how much money these purveyors of death throw at corrupt politicians, they will probably keep their monopoly.

No, we're going to prevail after a long and painful struggle in which many 99% Heroes will perish in the struggle for a New Birth of Freedom in the USA and around the world. The continuing glory of the human race is that every so often Heroes of all colors, both sexes, and all ages step forward to correct historic wrongs. We see these Heroes before our very eyes as OWS spreads around the globe and inspires more and more Heroes to step forward and say: "We're mad as hell, and we're not going to take it any more!!!"

[-] 1 points by AnnArkey (31) 12 years ago

Sad truth is I"m not sure if the occupy movement is on the right tracks. A win with any real bennifits just may not be in the cards since scientist from around the world have reports that indicate the world leaders have refused to address global warming in time to save life on our planet and in 5 years our planet will be past the tipping point of 450 ppm (parts per million) of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. Its present level is 390ppm and last year, despite recession, more carbon dioxide from fossil fuels poured into the atmosphere than ever before Life on the planet may be doomed.

When it rains, why don't sheep shrink?

[-] 1 points by ithink (761) from York, PA 12 years ago

I really don't know. Perhaps we should petition for a committee to look into this..
