"...as shoppers looked on in horror, store management roped off the area for homicide investigators and continued to operate as usual.... "

Nobody with a working moral compass would ever subject customers to this horror scene unless they are the embodyment of pure evil.

I've never spent one cent at Wal-Mart and never will. After seeing this story, my contempt for them feels that much more justified.

Did they warn anyone before they entered the store?

I may be wrong, but if they did not let the people leave they can be charged with kidnapping or unlawful restraint or something like that. People who were held against their will should contact the DA or a lawyer or someone.

Granted, they should have closed the store down while the investigation was going on BUT in looking at the photos, I didn't see any "bloody murder scene." Anyone that walked in later would have seen officers and police line tape.

Why can't people just state the facts and not try to over-dramatize everything on this forum?

Why dont we just close Wal mart forever

[-] 1 points by hidden (430) from Los Angeles, CA 12 years ago

Not that I support walmart, but why don't we just shutdown the whole city?

If the work is not interfering with police investigation, then what's the problem?

[-] 1 points by warbstar (210) 12 years ago

If you have to ask then you just don't get it.

Six members of the Walton family of Wal-Mart have more wealth than the bottom 30% of Americans. Not surprising when you hear a story like this.

Not only that, but the Waltons only donate a paltry 2% of their income to charity. I know that is still a lot of money, but consider there are no fewer than 20 US billionaires that donate more. Warren Buffett donates a whopping 81%, Bill and Melinda Gates give 48%. Even George Soros, chief underling of the evil overlords, donates 63% of his income to charity. The Waltons are greedy, callous cheapskates.

[-] 1 points by beautifulworld (23771) 12 years ago

If all of these folks shared their profits more fairly they'd still be rich, but we wouldn't have all the problems we have today with poverty and economic insecurity. And, charity would be less necessary. The American people have been ripped off and exploited by excessive greed.

[-] 1 points by gnomunny (6819) from St Louis, MO 12 years ago

I agree. They'd still be incredibly wealthy and think of the good they could do. To put the Walton's wealth in perspective, those six people have as much wealth as the bottom one hundred MILLION Americans! That's staggering. Greed is, by far, the single worst thing on the planet today.

[-] 1 points by beautifulworld (23771) 12 years ago

I've been thinking of it geographically. Picture a third of the United States colored in in a special Walton color. Disgusting, really. Something is wrong with our economic system. Let's keep working.

[-] 1 points by gnomunny (6819) from St Louis, MO 12 years ago

It's mind-boggling really. I'll bet they could've stocked their shelves with a good percentage of American-made products, or at least North American, and still got very wealthy. Old Man Walton made his fortune without off-shoring. There's no excuse.

Worse yet, there are photos of police behaving like it is normal for a store to profit and remain open during a grewsome murder scene.

These police are almost as evil as the actual murderer.

[-] 1 points by ZenDogTroll (13032) from South Burlington, VT 12 years ago

that's insane

[-] 0 points by pinker (586) 12 years ago

Well, not in defense of Walmart, but why didn't the shoppers leave? If I walked into a store where there was blood and a murder scene taped off, I'd have turned back around and gone elsewhere.

[-] 1 points by warbstar (210) 12 years ago

I would suggest that, shoppers seeing the scene and not leaving is a symptom of the lack of a moral compass.

[-] 0 points by D7ame2Uv (116) 12 years ago

Why not just leave? Or even better yet, don't go there to shop in the first place.
