Wisconsin election officials have now closed in on a proposed date for holding the the state’s wave of recalls: June 5, an extension of one week.

The Government Accountability Board (GAB), the non-partisan agency that oversees elections in the state, met Monday to approve recalls against four Republican state senators. They also sought to resolve some of the issues surrounding the recalls of Republican Gov. Scott Walker and Lt. Gov. Rebecca Kleefisch, before they officially trigger those recalls.

After discussion amongst the board, and questions with both Democratic and Republican attorneys, the board voted unanimously to ask a judge for a one-week extension — rather than two weeks, as the GAB staff had recommended.

Assuming that this request is granted, that means the primaries will be held on May 8, and the general election June 5. http://2012.talkingpointsmemo.com/2012/03/walker-recall-likely-for-june-5.php?ref=fpb

With all the dirt they're getting on Scott Walker this recall should not be a heavy lift, even with all the dirty Koch money that will be used to corrupt the election. Then, maybe once a decent Gov is in place, they can reform their election laws to limit outside money in their elections.

Pipe dream and it will never happen. This is a dumb propaganda post

It won't happen, enough money was thrown at it, from both sides, to assure that. Wanna bet?

If Walker stays the Kochs win.

That cannot happen. Koch/ALEC have to go. Wisconsin has to do this. It is imperative that he goes.

Look Honey, it's not that I disagree with your position at all.

I'm just cluing you in on some reality in a very pragmatic fashion.

Ok. Let's say that there is no recall.

Then what? That leaves the complaint against AFP’s 501(c)(3) status and that was filed by the Dems.

And yes, I know that x amount of years ago that the same was said of the Dems.

Our Republic is, and has been, dead.

You can clearly see very little working like you know very well it is supposed to work.

All bets are off until it is restored. You know this is true no matter how hard you try to fight the very notion.

I agree with that.
