The ability to share and syndicate content is extremely effective. You can compete with the news media, in fact your reach/audience could be larger than any main stream media. It’s easy, and dirt cheap to do. Recording your own news room can be done at any location with a nice drop background. Have people submit to you “i-report” videos, writers submit Press Release all to a private submit part of the web site to review prior to posting. Design it to maximize audience reach while also protecting the integrity of the OWS’s message/ image.
Next: there are so many sites that will flood your press releases and viral videos. They will be distributed to sites all over the world on Blogs, news sites, newspapers, magazines, etc. etc. The message will have a profound impact on these sites as because people trust them. They in turn may bookmark them, share on their personal social media platform.
Have a separate page so that interested parties choose media that best fits their audience (resonates with their blog/ website).
Be sure to have a small button on every page onsite that says something like: “Get the Latest New Video and Press Release” Embed on YOUR SITE NOW.
Just think of the talent out there available on volunteer or for a discounted price, perhaps on a rotating schedule? Please don’t crinch on this but sell some advertising later has it develops to offset costs. Be open to the group and understand there will be people will say but that video or press releases does not represent their particular views, but you will as time passes by. Only so much can be done each day. What-a you think?

Great idea man. Just think.. you could have more views on a website than on a news channel.
Feedburner, another wonderful idea. Of course You Tube and 100's of other similar sites. Just think when you visit a favourite site (or stumble upon) that posts say a You Tube Video you have an interest in, it becomes a funnel of visitors to perhaps the site... When one syndicates like this it becomes a funnel to the movement, to it's ideas, it's updates etc... Websites/Blogs/News outlets want this material to support there views, drive more interest, more creditability, larger volumes of traffic, to keep visitors engaged on their site for a longer period of time. for ever second someone is on a web page on an individual site, the higher search engines rank them etc.. Search Engine Optimization is huge to website/blogs and this is one great component. I am trying not to take up to much space :)
