Verizon: Paying Politicians to Rule the Air:
This is a good link to follow. I think Verizon's "privacy" practices especially sound like they could use further research. They talk about selling "anonymous aggregate information", but "anonymous" can be a very misleading term in Internet-speak. As far as I understand it just means that they don't give your name - but your IP address, or whether the person who visited butts.com also visited failbook.com/Joe Schmo/edit-my-private-profile may be another matter entirely.
