Some people believe with the proliferation of nuclear weapons, that major wars will be very unlikely going into the future, and its probably going to be more of a case of smaller, proxy war type events like we are seeing all over right now. World powers struggling for power by using that country's people to do the dirty work.
The situation in Ukraine is a perfect example. Roll with the Soviets, and its a banker controlled dead end. Roll with the EU, and its the same story.
Are the people in Ukraine fighting for straight up sovereign status? Or are they being coerced into one of two choices (que Roman divide and conquer montage) ?
Same thing for Venezuala. Are they fighting for their own rights as human beings, or are they being convinced that the American empire can give them more rights (think about that for a second, another topic all together) than their current power hungry regime.
While communication at the click of a button is certainly increasing our ability as people to organize and share vital information, keep in mind who created it. The Dept of Defense. (Which technically would make it property of the tax payer, right? Another topic all together, and certainly one tptb don't want to discuss any time soon).
If they created the internet, and took a very long time to release it to the private sector, are they one step ahead of us in terms of how to control the information and people with it? They are masters at that, and it would be shocking if they didn't have some plan.
So with all of that being said, are things like the Ukraine and Venezuela natural uprisings or are they planned chaos by one side or the other. We watched infiltrators come in, with our own eyes, and attempt to spark chaos and violence. Also watched the cops and state shut it down, but actually attempt to create problems along the way in sometimes the sneekiest of ways..
With further media concentrations, and further power concentrations, both resulting in what you get as information and what you are "allowed" to see rapidly shrinking (decentralization now, please) its going to be harder and harder to tell what is actually going on in the future.
Fewer news choices, fewer internet companies, fewer people with political power (remember the Super 12 in Congress? Why didnt the other hundreds of them raise holy hell over that?) and fewer journalists willing to put their lives on the line against the global empire ( war on journalists well underway at this point)... Even with the internet, the future of communication can look very grim.
.....
Create the problem. Create the opposition. Form the solutions and create an already formulated response for people to follow.
Mass psychology understanding and manipulation has been an asset to power structures since they started, most likely. Going forward we need to realize this, and realize our own roles in this. There is not a problem on the planet that cannot be overcome by a group of determined people, but we are in relatively new territory in terms of global communication.
Because of the heavy amount of freedom propaganda that is slathered over everything in our lives, we are reluctant to take a look around at our current situation and come to the incredibly obvious and equally disturbing conclusion that it's really anything but that.
Is our current state of communication in a similar state?
Whose arming who? Who is leading who? Are the leaders of these movements overseas anything close to what is actually going on? Are the death numbers even remotely accurate? Are the sites that tell a different story to be trusted either?
What is going on?
How big of a lie do they have to tell before word would get overseas, and then come back as a lie, and then ran in enough outlets that the lie would be exposed?

I don't think that mass communication can be shut down
there are hubs around the world independent of the US
The united states has poor soil and natural resources. The united states cannot produce the quality of cocaine, marijuana and poppy that can be produced on south american soil. The united states needs to maintain control of south america and south america needs to fight this control.
