US defense department to investigate why body parts of 274 soldiers were dumped in public landfill site.
http://www.aljazeera.com/video/americas/2011/12/2011121584512301317.html A scandal involving the dumping of the remains of hundreds of soldiers killed in Iraq and Afghanistan is proving to be a huge embarrassment for the US military.
Four investigations are already under way, and one report is expected to be delivered to US Defense Secretary Leon Panetta on Thursday.
