Israel is once again illegally going after a peace boat to Gaza. The corrupt Israeli government is no friend to peace.

Two important points to bear in mind, people;

Israeli people are not the Israeli administration, any more than Amercans are the US administration.

Two separate enitities.

It's still the 1 % we are protesting against.

Most Israeli people are poor people, fighting for survival.

Sound familiar??

[-] 1 points by frankchurch1 (839) from Jersey City, NJ 12 years ago

I am not talking about the people. They are protesting as well. But they are highly propagandized.

[-] 1 points by Builder (4202) 12 years ago

And we are not?

I've met Israelis in my travels.

They are not uninformed about world situations.

They too have a choice, just like we do, about what media sources they want to read or listen to.

Occupy Boston occupied the Israeli consulate. What does that have to do with economic injustice that the Occupy movement is supposed to be about? There are wars and oppression taking place all over the world, and OWS picks on tiny Israel. Wonder why.

[-] 2 points by frankchurch1 (839) from Jersey City, NJ 12 years ago

Because we control what Israel does. They aren't tiny in the sense of foreign policy. Even our generals said that Israeli policy hurts the so-called war on terror.

Of course. That is because Arabs don't like Jews. The 1948 creation of the State of Israel continues to hurt the war on terror. What do you recommend?

[-] 1 points by Truthseeker99 (99) 12 years ago

Neither are palestinians who use violence to push their agenda. The people of Palestine need to renounce violence. Violence will not bring freedom. Look to the examples of Gandhi, MLK, and Mandela.

[-] 1 points by frankchurch1 (839) from Jersey City, NJ 12 years ago

Will Israel give up violence? Remember, their violence makes Palestinians violent.

You really need to read some history. Israel has been under attack almost from its creation. Of course it proceeded to kick the asses of those who attacked.

[-] 1 points by frankchurch1 (839) from Jersey City, NJ 12 years ago

Read about the nakba, goof.

[-] 1 points by Truthseeker99 (99) 12 years ago

Perspective is right. As soon as Israel declared independence from the British "mandate", the Arab nations all attacked. The Palestinians have used violence for 64 + years. It hasn't gotten them anywhere. When do they learn that nonviolence works better? Ask Mandela, Gandhi, MLK, etc...

Will we be making a stop in Greece on the way to Gaza? I already signed up for the Greece trip an earlier genteman was organizing and am hoping we can economize here - air travel is expensive.

Code Pink...Anti War leaders..under Bush. Now, gun running for Palestine. They must have got bored with that war thing after Odumba took office. Drone bombing 5 different countries now A OK. "Calling Cindy Sheehan". Why are you not camping out in front some golf course where the slacker in chief his playing round # 84

[-] 2 points by frankchurch1 (839) from Jersey City, NJ 12 years ago

After Vincent Bugliosi indicts Bush, maybe.

Nobody wants the Palestinians, all through history if they haven't had a outside foe to fight then they just fight each other!!!! They've never been able to form a competent government. They're just as bad as the Afghans. The Palestinians are the "white trash" of the middle east!!! I wouldn't want them as my neighbors either!!!!

[-] 1 points by frankchurch1 (839) from Jersey City, NJ 12 years ago

You prove my point, thanks.

[-] -1 points by KahnII (170) 12 years ago

the truth about them proves your point?

[-] 1 points by frankchurch1 (839) from Jersey City, NJ 12 years ago

I bet it bites you that Egypt sides with us.

[-] -1 points by KahnII (170) 12 years ago

Not for long they won't. Wait till the Muslim Brotherhood takes hold there and see what happens....

Middle Eastern experts say not, so you are safe.

[-] -1 points by Joeschmoe1000 (270) 12 years ago

Sink the fuckin sandies

Are OWS really for this shit? How can we sleep at night?

[-] 2 points by frankchurch1 (839) from Jersey City, NJ 12 years ago

Yea, we really do believe in universal human rights. Do tell.

[-] -1 points by Perspective (-243) 12 years ago

Would that be the right to sleep in peace rather than in fear of randomly fired rockets into civilian areas?

[-] 2 points by frankchurch1 (839) from Jersey City, NJ 12 years ago

I was talking about the secret torture chambers.

[-] -1 points by Perspective (-243) 12 years ago

yeah just forget about all the civilians the "Palestinians" have killed or injured because it just doesn't fit your belief that Israel is the "bad guy".

[-] 2 points by frankchurch1 (839) from Jersey City, NJ 12 years ago

The Goldstone Report mentions that, the same report both Israel and the US rejected, even though Goldstone is a respected judge and is jewish.

[-] -1 points by TheREAL99 (120) 12 years ago

the Goldstone report has been completely discredited & revealed as an Anti-Israeli hatchet job.

Even Richard Goldstone, one of the authors, has backed away from the Goldstone Report.

Not Fox News, the NY Times: http://www.nytimes.com/2011/04/04/world/middleeast/04goldstone.html

Get your facts straight.

[-] 2 points by frankchurch1 (839) from Jersey City, NJ 12 years ago

No, it hasn't.

[-] 0 points by TheREAL99 (120) 12 years ago

Can't let any facts get in the way of our deep seated, life long hatred & antisemitism now can we.

So you think it's okay to randomly kill people?

[-] 2 points by frankchurch1 (839) from Jersey City, NJ 12 years ago

You're saying it's ok for Israel to kill people.
