Forum Post: Unite --do not divide

I understand the need for rules on a forum like this. And I appreciate the rule of not letting people constantly talk about their favorite presidential candidate. However, when you program the board to change "Ron Lawl" into "Ron Lawl" you are spitting in his supporters' faces. You are making this board a divisive place, not a uniting one.

And I don't even have any plans to vote for Ron Lawl. But a lot of his supporters see common ground with OWS. Plus, the name-changing makes the movement look childish.

The point being that the RP supporters have a tendency to over promote their candidate.

That being said, this is not the place to attempt to create a political campaign platform, no matter who the candidate is. Attempting to work a political campaign detracts from the topic for which this forum was created.

Suggestions, discussions would be a good starting point, sharing information about events for those of us unable to attend.

It would also be good if insults and sarcasm could be avoided.

We are better than that.

Same goes for censoring the likes of Alex Jones and David icke..They are the backbone of alternative media.

How would you feel if other websites changed "Occupy Wall Street" automatically to "Occupy Lol Street"? Would you continue participating in that site?
