I have a solution to the low pay problems.

I suggest unions start their own companies. This will bust the corrupt corporations tomorrow.

They already have the employees. The unions could put ads in the phone book, "Unions-R-Us Construction" They bid on construction jobs just like everyone else does. Here is the difference. The unions can sign any contract they want to and then pay all the union workers as much money as the employees demand. The unions would offer full benefits with 3 months vacations and 8:00 to 1:00 work hours. People that sign a contract with the unions cut out the middleman and deal straight with the unions. The best part,,, all the union workers will know the unions support them and give them anything they demand knowing the unions will pay it. Everyone will want to join a union because there will be no low pay in America because the unions are very smart and good to the "little guy" working in America. Great idea right? So, I suggest OWS put this into a plan today. Hold a big meeting tomorrow in the park to announce all the high paying jobs the unions will offer. You do think the unions are smart and capable of pulling this off for the little guy in America as they claim they care about. OWS cares about low pay and this is the way to change it. I fully support OWS and the unions. Lets see how quicly we can get America back into high salary for workers.

Nobody can disagree with this great idea.

This already exists, and it's known as a co-op firm in which employees run the business, make the decisions, and set wages and hours. Guess what: those firms are generally free-market competitive and can still support their labor force at an acceptable level.

It must be working great as per your comments. OWS can now close down because you have determined the low salary problem has been solved. "Good night everybody"

That was not even mildly entertaining.

$200 an hour. Unions can afford to pay it.

I dont understand why none of you support the idea of unions starting their own companies and paying $200/hour with full benefits.
