U.N. Envoy: U.S. Isn't Protecting Occupy Protesters' Rights

www.huffingtonpost.com Saturday 3rd December 2011

WASHINGTON -- The United Nations envoy for freedom of expression is drafting an official communication to the U.S. government demanding to know why federal officials are not protecting the rights of Occupy demonstrators whose protests are being disbanded -- sometimes violently -- by local authorities. - a very good article by Dan Froomkin on a very pertinent issue which I have not seen anywhere else in the UK mainstream media so possibly not out in the US either?

Is this the same UN that has tyrannical dictators heading up its Human Rights Commission? Please, if you want to find outside support, at least use an organization that has some credibility. And the protests aren't being disbanded, the campsites are. Is there a UN Commission on Camping Out? Now that would be a commission with clout.
