With all the hidden influence in d.c.being bad enough you would,nt think the american people would sit back and just allow the very thing which has all of us upset with Washington. For our elected reps to so blatantly sign a pledge which puts special interests above our best interests is insane. To be afraid to voice your feelings at any time during your term why then are you in office?I think its past time for the american people to wake up and demand our concerns be met without money being the driving force in gov.Let us make a pledge to vote all those out next election who signed on to this sellout.

Power corrupts, absolute power corrupts absolutely. Thus the necessity to insure that power is vested with the citizens instead of those with vast bankrolls and their "elected" officials.

The fear is that without reform of both the gov regarding lobby and campaign funds (not to mention all the other legalized bribery), and an overhaul on how we pick representatives, the next bunch elected will do all the same things.

Take a look at the 99% Declaration, and see what is coming....

If the ows people ever get elected they will fall into the corruption trap just like everyone else. No matter who it is, power and money is more addictive than heroin.

Corruption is a natural part of the human condition, especially corruption in government. There will always be a drift toward it.

But fighting against corruption is just as strong a force and just as natural.

Jefferson, as long as 250 years ago, understood this when he recommended a new revolution every 25 years, every generation.

Democracy is hard work, and it is never ending. But gains have been made at times, and they can again.

I don't share your defeatism.

We both know anyone that might get elected via the ows will become corrupt.

We both know nothing of the sort. But even if true, we also both know that they will be resisted.

It is never all or nothing. It os always a process of opposing forces. The world of men s not ideal, but relative.

And defeatism is just another word for laziness.

Hi, I like your word 'defeatism' cause there sure is a lot of it around here. Which is funny because the occupy movement generated so much enthusiasm. Why aren't people riding the wave to the NGA in Philadelphia? I see close to 900 delegates charged up by the 99% from their congressional districts who sent them there, sitting down at the table to draw the charts to a better future. I see brilliant and dedicated people looking on. I see the streets of Philadelphia over-flowing with people chanting we. are. the 99%. I can practically hear the Liberty Bell ringing.

The 99% Declaration debuted its tv spot tonight. Beginning of Story ; )

The defeatism is being promulgated by known trolls. They come here to masturbate, refusing to get a room.

[-] 1 points by acbdefg (51) 12 years ago

OK I know they will become corrupt and you are in denial. End of story.

Did I deny that? No. Are you willfully ignoring the second part of what I said, or are you just a dumb as a stone? Either way, you're not worth bothering with any more.

You are here to troll. End of story.
