You need to vote, hundreds of thousands of men have died so you can vote, vote for who you think will do the best. Not voting isone of the worst things you can't do.

I'll be voting for Obama. Don't throw away your vote. Don't look for perfection, it doesn't exist. There are important differences between Reps and Dems even though in many ways they are the same, and the subtleties matter, a lot.

You know what would be a great matchup?

Obama vs. George W. Bush in 2012... that would be too close to call, and it probably wouldn't matter one way or the other.

Vote to end the R/D false dichotomy and lies, vote for a third party.

Vote for either party and you vote for the status quo. If you are happy with the way things are going then you should be happy.

In my mind voting for Obama is voting for Romeny and vice versa. I have no idea why progressives and those on the left continue to vote for the Democrats. We've been voting for the Dems since the 50's and 60's and this is what it has got us. Remember alot of the deregulation that got us into this mess was ramped up by the Clinton administration, glass stegal, welfare reform and nafta. Obama is folllowing in this same tradition with the freetrade agreements he has signed into law, he's thrown ss and medicare on the chopping block expressed no support for labor since taken office and is bombing god knows how many countries with drones and making us all kinds of enemies.

I have heard that the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. Why would you vote for a democrat and expect different results than these?

I have one response to this.

Because every single time a (R)epelican't gets into office, whether it's Federal or Local, things get infinitely worse. In every state of the Union.

Need more?

Every time a democrat gets into office things get infinitly worse. whats the difference?

You just lied!

There's more at stake here than what goes on in Washington.

There's 50 States to look too.

Take a look at the SCOTUS after 20 out 30 years under a (R)epelican't regime.

It's the worst it's ever been.

I have heard that the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. I think i may be talking to a crazy person

Nope, You just repeated yourself. It might be time for a little introspection.

In fact, it's what you've done in the entire thread.

Plus you ignored what I said, that could be a problem too.

I would just not cast a vote. But then people say "Well if ya didn't vote ya gots no right to complain."

So I'm just going to vote for Ron Paul, and when he doesn't win I can complain all I want with smug satisfaction.

And of course I, myself am not going to do anything to improve my nation. I'm just going to sit around, pointing fingers and complaining about the administration, much like the conservatives do now. Much like the liberals would do if Romney won. And much like everyone will do when Obama wins again.
