Please, listen to us, the tired, the poor, the huddled masses yearning to breathe free Please, we ask only that you help us build, build bridges, not baracades, build communities, not corporations, build lives, not equity, Please, we ask only to believe
believe that we are created equal, believe that we may earn a fair living believe in a future worthy of our children. Please, we ask only that you consider the greater good before the greater profit, the world before the market, people before property. Please, help those of us who cannot help themselves, teach those of us who do not understand, see that we are all created equal. We are the 99% We need change. We need morality. We are all in this together.

The whole system seems to be hanging by a thread and the 99% sense it at every turn. When we look to our supposed leaders they seem void of any real solutions. Can that really be deliberate? Or are the problems now too numerous and too big too control or overcome. The 99% get frustrated because we see and hear solutions all day and night, but nothing ever changes. So it's time to realize that it's going to take 100% of us, each doing what they can, to fix it.

The great barrier to implementing the technical solutions which we now have at our finger tips is the political structure. Perhaps I'm naive to think that a new independent party could pose a serious enough threat to the status quo that they'd bargain in good faith, but that is what the spirit of OWS / We Are The 99% is to me. And that's really what I want out of the 99% Declaration. The National General Assembly is our way of saying we have a table too, we'll come to yours and you'll come to ours, and we'll begin moving forward. Honestly, I think it would be fun for everyone. So let's get together and make this NGA, the Third Continental Congress, the most significant political event in at least a generation and not waste our time suffering in pain. We're not going to ask the owners for permission. That's just so last millennium : )
