Forum Post: To serve and protect

The police are supposed to "serve and protect" the citizens of this country. This should be changed to "to serve the 1% and protect their power". Armed with the millions of dollars of offensive weaponry from homeland security and our "war on terror", this supposed non-lethal (yeah, just ask the vet that had his skull crushed) riot control projection is being indiscriminately used on old ladies, children, women, the homeless and peaceful demonstrators as a way of "terrorizing" them into submission. The police has been militarized by the military industrial complex to suppress free speech. Time to bring back their old nickname from the 60s?? One oink for yes , two oinks for no.
