Jay Townsend, a campaign spokesman for Republican Rep. Nan Hayworth, made an aggressive comment in a Facebook discussion that originally was critical of Hayworth on the issue of gas prices. Townsend drew strong criticism from one of Hayworth’s Democratic challengers.

The comment was on the Facebook page called “NY19 U.S. House of Representatives Discussion Center” — and it’s “mission is to foster civil multi-partisan discussion about issues impacting citizens of New York’s U.S. House District represented by Republican Congresswoman Nan Hayworth.” The post in question criticized Hayworth for not crediting Obama for a recent drop in gas prices.

Jay Townsend’s comment, in response to another commenter, Tom, read: "Listen to Tom. What a little bee he has in his bonnet. Buzz Buzz. My question today…when is Tommy boy going to weigh in on all the Lilly Ledbetter hypocrites who claim to be fighting the War on Women? Let’s hurl some acid at those female democratic Senators who won’t abide the mandates they want to impose on the private sector."

"campaign spokesman" "another commenter" "democratic challengers"....

The media just keeps getting worse and worse these days.

Meanwhile, they refuse to cover the major issues.

Incredible.

This is like that Ted Nugent post a month ago. Completley irrelevent.

TEd Nugent, or that other asshat John Lovitz.

Is it part of a grand diversion,or are the people too dumb to catch on?

Two people having a private discussion - and you think it constitutes a felony?

Let me quote Teamsters President Jimmy Hoffa ""We got to keep an eye on the battle that we face: The war on workers. And you see it everywhere, it is the Tea Party. And you know, there is only one way to beat and win that war. The one thing about working people is we like a good fight. And you know what? They've got a war, they got a war with us and there's only going to be one winner. It's going to be the workers of Michigan, and America. We're going to win that war," Jimmy Hoffa said to a heavily union crowd.

"President Obama, this is your army. We are ready to march. Let's take these son of bitches out and give America back to an America where we belong," Hoffa added.

oooooohhh.. sounds like a threat. Actually, it is probably a more credible threat that Jay Townsends...if you consider the source.

This is just another hit and run post by Mr.Bwha ha ha. At least he didn't bore us with another asinine cartoon.

So its OK to throw acid on people that you don't like in positions of power?

[-] -1 points by tupacsugar (-136) 2 years ago

Is that what you think? I certainly don't.

[-] 1 points by DoubleVoice (115) 2 years ago

Good to know. Shame that this politician doesn't know any better.

I don't believe he meant it literally though. There are plenty examples of politicians on both sides that say crazy shit but don't really meant it. You know, they're imperfect and faulty humans just like all of us. Shit, listen to the wrong Rev Wright......He loudly decrees "God Bless America?....NO,NO,NO....God Damn America".

Now,....do I think he really meant that?....Yes I do,however,I also believe he does probably really love this country and that rhetoric was maybe spawned more from the heat of the moment and his BLT.

Would the wrong Rev Wright actually betray this country?.....No,I don't believe so.

Sorry for being long winded but I'm just trying to make a point.
