Forum Post: This Movement Is In Danger Of Being Hijacked By The "1%"

Many of you are now preaching ideologies akin to socialism and other variations of collectivism- the very ideologies and practices that have created our neo-fascist-crony-capitalist-corporatocracy in the first place. Unless we re-establish our old American principles; limited government, sound money, liberty, and truly free markets, we are no different then any other socialist or communist regime that normally emerges after times of turmoil like this. Agreed with you that socialists have failed, but why are we blind to the pitfalls of capitalism. What you're seeing now is a natural part of capitalism, constant struggle between workers and bourgeoisie. This is not the first major crisis driving the masses to the street. 200-320 million Africans died in the slave trade alone, dumped off ships for sharks. Another 50 - 70 million people in WWII; 12 million perished in WWI. And for what? Oil in the Middle East and Caucus. Capitalism came out of Europe and is based on the theft of resources of the peoples of the world. The butchery practiced over seas by industrial countries is tamed at home because there is enough appropriated resources to buy the silence of workers. The main reason AWS movement only give lip service to anti colonial struggle. We're pass the days of local governments. Europe has merged as one as is in the process of writing a constitution that supersede local governing laws and constitution. There has been a plan in place to merge Mexico, Canada and U.S. with a constitution superseding local constitution and laws. Now this might sound crazy to many, but so did the idea of a united Europe with a single currency. By its nature and because of the principles of Capitalism, America can't turn back the clock. Europe basically trying to have a monopoly and you're competing as a business.

Here! This article offers the same insight in saying some of the demands can be destructive. http://market-ticker.org/akcs-www?post=195434 I think you have a good message, but I think people would be more open to it if you didn't use the word "socialist".

Agreed. And I raise you 2 million percent. We don't need to change what we are. We are the greatest Democracy the world has ever known. We have had that Democracy usurped, and damn it, we are going to take it back. Those who buy influence over our elected officials should be jailed.

I suggest that you stop watching Glenn Beck, if you think that fascism and socialism are even remotely similar.

And yeah, capitalism IS the problem. I know you have a lot of deep-seated denial about this, but that is the truth. Where do you think the "government" comes from? The government, the courts, the police, the military-all these things exist to protect the capitalist class from the rest of the population- the workers, you know, the people who actually produces societies wealth. That's why JP Morgan gave 4.6 million dollars to the New York Police Department as a reward for beating up protesters. That's why the US military invaded Iraq and bombed Libya- so US oil companies could gobble up the oil. They send workers to kill and be killed so that bankers and oil CEO's can get rich.

And 'old American principles; limited government, sound money, liberty, and truly free markets'? You mean the 'freedom' to buy and sell slaves, like the Founding Fathers did? That is the problem with capitalist 'freedom' it is the 'freedom' of the rich and powerful to exploit the poor and weak.

I trust that you are sincere, I just think you are very, very confused.

Capitalism has nothing to do with government..... The government creating monopolies over goods/services is the opposite of capitalism.....ummm yeah.

Agreed, and although I'm all in favor of taking down today's ineffective and inefficient Top 10% Management Group of Business & Government, there's only one way to do it – by fighting bankers as bankers ourselves. Consequently, I have posted a 1-page Summary of the Strategic Legal Policies, Organizational Operating Structures, and Tactical Investment Procedures necessary to do this at:

don't let this be about socialism or the democrat party. That's where the establishment is trying to take it, just as they took the Tea Party to be the "radical right-wing of the GOP" .

I'm Tea Party and not even close to being a Republican

Agreed a million percent.

So to provide a more accurate account of my level of agreement, I will amend my statement and say that I agree 5 million percent.
