I don't trust him...but this issue is a no brainer.
We'll see. What he has to do is reduce the classification.
No can do. See Single Convention on Narcotic Drugs. UN treaty we signed in 1961. It sets forth pot as a schedule 1 drug. That's why signing UN treaties is not always a good idea.
I disagree! This ain't a UN issue. Put your one world paranoia away. No blue helmet secret army is comin for you guns. Or our pot!
You might research something before you attack someone who posts something you don't like.

No thanks. I disagree that international law is a problem here. I support changing federal, & international law. 1st fed law, (cause they actually police) UN treaty can wait (cause they don't police in America, andain't gonna)
And your article didn't give details on UN law against pot.
So, I disagree This ain't a UN issue. Put your one world paranoia away. No blue helmet secret police is comin for your guns. Or our pot.!
so let them sanction something that ll teach us
Identifying only the bad while ignoring progress would be like raising a child with the same philological approach, though I think some do that too.
And Pot is nothing like heroin so I submit it is innaccurate to catagorize them the same.
I agree with you, no real difference in our positions here I think, it's all good.
"It does not take an act of Congress signed by the President to legalize marijuana. All that is necessary is for the Secretary of Health & Human Services Kathleen Sebelius to simply sign a Reclassification order taking marijuana off the illegal drug lists."
Little Johnny
Morning Johnny, I think you're right about that, hey help me out, if you want.

Not so fast. The US is a party to the UN Single Convention on Narcotic Drugs treaty. Yes, UN treaties DO affect US law. We might be able to decriminalize/lessen punishment, but to truly LEGALISE we will have to withdraw from the treaty signed in 1961.
Little MaryJane
After what happened in Connecticut yesterday how can we tolerate law enforcement wasting it's time with stuff like this???
Legalize all drugs. Have hard drug addicts treated by physicians, Forget about marijuana, because the worst thing some stoned guy is gonna do is pig out at Micky D's. In case these jerks who write these laws didn't notice we have Real Problems out there!!!
He thinks marijuana should remain illegal. That is not a step toward freedom. His opening statement in your video says that.
Will the feds lay off like they have against medical marijuana that states have deemed legal?

I would love to see the crackdown stop... but I doubt the words coming out of his mouth.
Anyone who knows anything about marijuana knows this administration has cracked down on medicinal marijuana in legalized states.
partisan prick
You ignored facts and came back with an insult. Well played.
It is actually you who is partisan. You don't like me and attack me solely because I do not think Obama is a good president. You and I had some nice and pleasant exchanges on the forum back in the day before you found out I didn't like the president. I think the majority of politicians are terrible though. There's just something about voting to give billions to Goldman Sachs that leaves me screaming "CORRUPTION"

here's another one
"I'm not going to be using Justice Department resources to try to circumvent state laws [on medical marijuana]," Obama promised in 2008,
then April 2012 this comes out - Increased crackdown on medical marijuana producers across the nation, including a recent high-profile raid on a California training school
