Forum Post: This forum is not working

Posted 13 years ago on Oct. 26, 2011, 7:44 p.m. EST by jdelassus (50)
This content is user submitted and not an official statement

It may make people 'feel good' for a few seconds to vent their anger but ultimately this forum leads nowhere. Where's the real discussion for those who don't live in NYC. Chat sucks. Get some real discussion on this GD thing!

I have moved to http://www.themultitude.org/forum/ucp.php?mode=login

It seems to be more civilized discussion.

[-] 1 points by jdelassus (50) 13 years ago

Thanks, I'll check it out.

There are other forums, that are more quiet, with civilized posts and everything. You can go there if you like, OCCUPY is multi-faceted, it's still about this movement. You don't need to be on this forum of that forum to be part of Occupy. This forum is stil at the heart of the matter, with lots of trolls and provocations and shit, and precious new ideas and visions. It's just what's going on at this moment, it's all part of the process. I think it's great. This is a great site, even if it isn't working adequately and it doesn't fit any expectations. That's Occupy too.

It's not about the forum, it's about the protests outside.

Discussion::: the police are taking away the media limelight from Occupy... take it back - waaaay back - gather the few beginners together [ the guys that started this thing ] and agree all of the "Occupy" cities should send representatives from each city [ first wave ] to Occupy DC TOMORROW!!! - Joining all of the Occupy cities together in DC now with the same style banners, locations, etc of the two major political conventions... The Occupy Convention!! This should start the drama in DC - You do not have to give up any ground in the cities where you are demonstrating - You must show solidarity of these cities since the police are now suppressing the people into violent sound bites [ hell the cops go to classes & have college degrees on this type of demonstration busting ] I write plays believe me this Occupy Play needs a "through line now" peace AtomicZ...

Agree. This board is a waste of time. You want to be part of the movement; get off the keyboard and find a local Occupation.

[-] 1 points by owstag (508) 13 years ago

Yeah; there are too many kids and trolls and crazies on here also; it's frustrating.

[-] 0 points by TIOUAISE (2526) 13 years ago

YES!!! The site is swarming with trolls, such as "Tednugent", "OccupyEverything", "brianobx", "HilscherBanned", "blkflg", "Badhornet', "americanfreedom69", "uslynx81", "therealdeal2011", "1percenter4life", "superspiff", "suwata", "sudoname", "hahaha", "Momcalled", "justfactsallowed", "ArrestAllCEOS", "AntiCorp", "MikeyD", "Earnit", "thebeach", "MovingTwoChina" and "DukeNukem299",. "dukeNukem347", "Moving8China", "MovingToReelection", "Rob", "Earnit", "thebeach" etc.

I used to laugh them off, but I now realize they are a DISTRACTING and DISRUPTIVE presence.

Folks, please join me in asking OWS to BAN all "trolls and crazies" from this forum. They can create their own ANTI-OWS HATE website somewhere else. The rest of us have WORK to do.

[-] 1 points by owstag (508) 13 years ago

I'm a ZOOLOGIST specializing in the study of TROLLS like you - a thankless task.

[-] 0 points by Joeschmoe1000 (270) 13 years ago

Thank you.

But I was being serious. What work are you focused on.

Are you against people getting together wherever they might to share and be unified in their thinking? I don't think so. But some of those commenting appear to be so.--------

Real discussion works with real information, and not just elements of complaint. Information useful to addressing complaint, real information. Mostly there is little or know information that is inherently strategic politically. Or, no laws are mentioned, no legal onus for officials to comply with anything.

Accordingly, here's real info, laws, strategy the works. Really discuss it okay?

The occupations need to be in reponse to specific demand made pursuant to law. I suggest that most governments are so unlawful, that the ultimate democratic control over the constitution, article 5, needs to be exercised to even begin to deal with it.----

To see the ultimate form of democracy use our first constitutional right, article 5 of the constitution. This is the only way any demand will be met.--

Congress is very afraid of an Article 5 because congress has no control IF 3/4 of the states are ratifying Meaning, we need to stay in our states and make the demand for an article 5. We only need 2 more states then congress is in OBVIOUS violation of the constitution and the military, YES, the military will have to defnd the constitution. -

If the state won't, apply, you are looking at a state controlled at key points by the nwo- jack up the pressure! talk about "lawful government" a lot and cite violations of laws on a federal level that impair the states constitution.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Convention_to_propose_amendments_to_the_United_States_Constitution "Congress acted preemptively to propose the amendments instead. At least four amendments (the Seventeenth, Twenty-First, Twenty-Second, and Twenty-Fifth Amendments) have been identified as being proposed by Congress at least partly in response to the threat of an Article V convention."

Our first right in our contract is Article V, the right to have congress convene delgates when 2/3 of the states have applied for an amendatory convention.

Article. V.

The Congress, whenever two thirds of both Houses shall deem it necessary, shall propose Amendments to this Constitution, or, on the Application of the Legislatures of two thirds of the several States, shall call a Convention for proposing Amendments, which, in either Case, shall be valid to all Intents and Purposes, as Part of this Constitution, when ratified by the Legislatures of three fourths of the several States, or by Conventions in three fourths thereof, as the one or the other Mode of Ratification may be proposed by the Congress; Provided that no Amendment which may be made prior to the Year One thousand eight hundred and eight shall in any Manner affect the first and fourth Clauses in the Ninth Section of the first Article; and that no State, without its Consent, shall be deprived of its equal Suffrage in the Senate.-------
