This is Spain. How long before the rich are telling America what it can and cannot do, but God forbid we should raise taxes by 3% or make them pay the same rate no matter how they make their money.

You got to figure if no one cares about the bombs we are dropping that are wiping out whole families, then they prob dont care about economics either.....
This lack of empahty and diginity is our main problem...
Raising it by 3% when the tax code (loophole how-to-do book) is 76k pages is meaningless.
We need a 100% regime change. End the two parties, revamp the system, end the Fed, break up the TBTF, etc...
That being said I dont see the people rising up and doing it. I see them ending up attacking each other first, staying divided and guilible.
Who said anything about 3%? I support a 99% inheritance after the first 5 million till the debt is paid in full.

guess I did, what I didn't say was that it would fix the problem, just that even that tiny amount is enough to lose the support of every Republican, so we should support none of them and work day and night to defeat all of them, to do ANYTHING (like vote third party) to allow a Republican to win is just crazy, like thinking a mere 3% tax increase would fix all our problems
There are plenty of Republicans that are voting third party too....the numbers that are leaving the parties are huge....people are catching on.
Take 3% of our entire GDP and see if that balances the budget deficit.
As PT used to say ,"there's one born every minute" i guess as long as they don't vote for Romney and we do vote for Obama maybe we can keep the SCOTUS from stripping the people's government of all its power.
not sure why you get hung up on 3%, unless you're really one of those Republicans to which even a 3% riase would be too much. Or are you saying we should raise taxes 3% on incomes over $250,000 just to get things moving in the right right direction, if so you might have something there.
I think a much higher death tax is needed as well.
