We've been lied 2 so much over the decades it's difficult 2 try & 'trust' again. I say this from my own experience & 64 yrs on this $$-go-round. Each generation "wants better 4 their children" & i was/am no different. After disappointment upon disappointment, one gets a little dejected. We've lived paycheck 2 paycheck 4 41 yrs of marriage & i'm sick of it. Our paychecks stopped progressing in 1975 but prices continued rising & product quality continued to tank. I have also found to b true something Jacque Fresco has said "you're only as free as your purchasing power allows". I was introduced 2 the zeitgeist films by a 26 y/o & boy was i glued. i sorta knew my whole life 'something not right.' Anyway, during Z Addendum i was introduced to Mr. Fresco & his ideas of a Resource Based Economy as outlined in The Venus Project (from Venus, FL). Then i began 2 b more interested in science & technology 'cause i had no idea there were so many things that could be fixed or replaced by using technology intelligently 4 the betterment o/t earth, it's resources & ALL it's inhabitants. Example: cars can b made so they don't crash into one another? The possibility of free, clean, sustainable energy has been around since 1927? If resources used wisely we could provide 4 the whole global family?, etc, etc I was kept so very busy working while my children grew up, i had no idea what was really happening or what our real history was. I believed & trusted the 'status quo' Anyway, i've been following TZM/TVP/RBE ideas 4 a few years now & we are READY for a Resource Based Economy. Just think, this generation can FINALLY say "take this job & shove it" If the necessities of life r provided 4 all, you get 2 pursue ur real interests & passions, instead of working 10-18 hrs/day just 2 'make ends meet'. You get 2 develop your creativity & critical thinking, instead of bcoming a 'brick in the wall'. You get 2 enjoy & be w/your kids/family more. You get 2 travel, see the world & meet new people. You actually get to be....FREE!!! If, at my age, i can wrap my head around new values, then certainly this generation should b able to. A RBE provides all the answers/solutions that this movement is trying to put across to everyone. To me, a RBE should b shouted from the rooftops. This could actually be the end of slavery, don't you see that. This movement of people seeking freedom 2 live a fulfilling life w/o harm 2 each other or the environment has been going on since the days of Moses. If we want a world w/o war, hunger, poverty & debt then a RBE is the answer. Otherwise, trust an 'oldie' there will b very little change and the change 4 the better only goes to the top. We need 2 get r heads out of the sands of ignorance/denial; out of r ego; and out of the clouds thinking some spirit is gonna help us & put r feet on the ground to actually create 'heaven on earth' & by heaven i don't mean w/some kinda angels flyin' around w/wings. Let's get real here and do this thing. In a RBE our pledge of allegiance might go something like: "We pledge allegiance to the earth, it's resources and it's inhabitants. And to the emergence of all living things, as: one life, one family and one world." If that's not the most humane, spiritual, decent, holistic pledge around, then i don't know what is. We usually recommend that people visit the sites because that's how we all bcame familiar w/this idea. It's one of those "oh, that could never happen things" but if that were true we'd still b livin' in caves & thinking the earth was flat. We CAN make manifest the lyrics of John Lennon's "Imagine" C'mon guys, don't get pulled into the 'adult' scene & fade away like the 60's did. We had the passion but you guys have the internet & seem 2 b more intelligent. I love and support all of you along with The Zeitgeist Movement & The Venus Project. We all want the same thing & Jacque has the blueprints 4 a better life. Please visit www.unitinghumans.com A member put together a great collage of info which hopefully will excite your interest!! Carry on lil' brothers & sisters, you are kickin' ass!!! In solidarity, Mamma D "^_^"

what is this? another experiment into human behavior and conditioning veiled behind a veil of new age spirituality?

preying on the weak and simple minded are we?

planning another mass suicide with the passing of the next comment?

fucking koch-suckers!

It's called a resource based economy. Think of it as the society Wall Street doesn't want to see. The Zeitgeist movement has been around for some 3-4 years and the film Zeitgeist: Moving Forward (3rd in the Z series) was released January 15th of this year. It already has 12,500,000 views on You Tube. Ironically the ending is OWS. http://www.youtube.com/user/TZMOfficialChannel

How does this help the common man? Looks to me like a lot of money that the 1% will spend.

[-] 1 points by MrDavid (10) 12 years ago

well the venus project believe that all people need clean air, clean food,a place to live, and anything you want to study you study without getting out of a university owning it 10,000$,every resources is available to everybody and not to 1% of the world. The Venus Project is an organization that proposes a feasible plan of action for social change, one that works towards a peaceful and sustainable global civilization. It outlines an alternative to strive toward where human rights are no longer paper proclamations but a way of life

As that becomes more developed, more enlightened, as new discoveries are made, new truths discovered and manners and opinions change, with the change of circumstances, institutions must advance also to keep pace with the times. We might as well require a man to wear still the coat which fitted him when a boy as civilized society to remain ever under the regimen of their barbarous ancestors."

"please i'm not your enemy, but if you want a better world without poverty, crime, suffering, death, misery, hunger, war, and diseases."

Sounds too good to be true. I'll pass and leave it to the next sucker. I don't believe we are anywhere near immortality. And, honestly, I don't know if I would want to be immortal.

"please explain why i would like to know, ask me anything and i'll be more then happy to replay"

That's the problem with the Zeitgeist henchmen. If I have a question you don't answer it, you just replay the movie. How wonderful is that?

[-] 2 points by MrDavid (10) 12 years ago

the venus project do not discussed about an immortal issue nor did it ever did, i don't know where you got your information from

but this is what the venus project is all about: The Venus Project is an organization that Attempt to bring alternative solutions by committing social change and bringing world peace to all nations by Realizing the declaration of the world's resources as being the common heritage of all people, and replacing the monetary system to a Resource Based Economy where the highest technology and good food, and resources are available to all and to the few.

please read about it,and if you don't like it thats ok.

"please i'm not your enemy, but if you want a better world without poverty, crime, suffering, death, misery, hunger, war, and diseases."

[-] 1 points by MrDavid (10) 12 years ago

[-] -1 points by Thrasymaque (-2138) 12 years ago

Don't spam, or you'll feel the wrath of Spam Man. You already posted that link in your message; no need to repeat it. I already told you where I got this false information; from you! Without death = immortality. You should edit your main post instead of going over something we already clarified. Be careful, I do not tolerate spam. Spam Man is very eager to come here. You are tempting his limits.

WARNING: If see you bump this post one more time by creating a comment then deleting it, it's Spam Man time.

[-] 1 points by AFarewellToKings (1486) 12 years ago

Since MrDavid obviously doesn't have the fine communication skills that you do, I'd be happy to try and answer your question. It should be obvious that replay was merely a typo, in a post full of typo's, and your comment brings you shame, not him.

Ah yes, indeed. Quite observant you are.
