Sexuality has nothing to do with intellect, morals or citizens rights. It is separate, or at least it should be.
Seems that some find it of great interest what goes on in other people's lives, you know the part that most of us consider private.
The only reason I can see that the transgender issue is even an issue is that there is too often a presumption of knowledge of another person. Without that, we could go back to just being people who may or may not agree on more important things in life.
Let me make something very clear for those who don't know: I'm not here because of them. Where did I say that I did? I may have come across more hostile than I meant to because I was pissed at Doctorlove, but what I meant with that was that the sexuality or even the existence of Jart & Co. have nothing to do with my decision to get involved with OWS. Like I said above, their gender identity, sexual orientation, etc. doesn't matter to me and should only matter to their prospective sexual partners.

I have no moral problem with gay guys who grow their hair out; I threw that out there to shake up DoctorLove. The only reason I worry is because a good chunk of middle America has a host of prejudices about gays, hippies, people with long hair, etc. and uses those prejudices to discount what these groups have to say. Referencing my orientation and style choices is about exploiting those prejudices the other way; the same attitude that makes them assume people like Jart can't be trusted will make them more trusting of (or at least less likely to throw feces at) people who speak and act the way I do, and playing on that prejudice generally shuts them up.

There is no revolution. How can the revolution be over when it didn't even really start. The Egyptian revolution is ongoing and Greece and perhaps Italy and Spain are in prerevolutionary situations, but we are a long way from revolution in America, though we are part of the same world wide systemic crisis. OWS still has the passive support of about one third of the American public and far from disappearing it's active support actually seems to be growing.

One problem that conservative share with most mainstream political and news commentators is a real inability to think outside the frame of Republican and Democratic Party politics and outside the frame of liberalism and conservatism. The fact is liberalism is long dead as a political doctrine and has been since the emergence of progressivism at the beginning of the last century excepting for the emergence of neo-liberalism, which systemically, is barely distinguishable from neo-conservatism.
OWS is far, far, far to the left of liberalism--which conceptually most conservatives find impossible to contemplate. Only in the United States would a corporatist like Nancy Pelosi be considered a person of the left.
Who is the "we" that doesn't want OWS here? The last poll I saw gave OWS the support of about one third of the population. Hardly a mandate for us to leave and a percentage of popularity that Congress and every Republican Presidential candidate would love.
